I see this guy on BYOND Help a LOT, how isn't he a BYOND Moderator yet? He's seemingly extremely professional and very helpful amongst the community. I don't mean to start up a rant about any current members of the moderation team or anything of the like. Forgive if the following is taken in a negetive manner; I have seen him do more than most of the moderators of present and seems less moody then most of them too- not to say that any of them are bad in these aspects. I'm sure every member of the moderation team and staff have seen him, so I'm curious as to a reasoning behind him being left out. Is it a personal choice by him? No need for details to this at all, just curious.
Also, if this is deemed inappropriate for the forums, feel free to remove it. I could always ask him directly, though I'd seriously like feedback from current moderators.

Higoten was made a BYOND moderator for a time due to how helpful he was in BYOND Help, but he stepped down on his own volition at some point I believe.

I could've sworn he was a moderator at one point, which is what made me question it more so. Thank you for clearing that part up.

This post comes at a strange time, as yesterday I was asked if I was the listing moderator who marked a user’s demo as incomplete. But, for clarification, I was never a moderator on the site, or received any communication that I’m aware of regarding it.
However, I’m unsure how much of an addition I would be, apart from the "Many hands make for light (and consistent) work" philosophy, as I’m unsure of the tasks and workload that the moderation team handles, as I rarely see posts that I would consider inappropriate (which may be the positive result of an active and good moderation team), among other violations. And before I drag this comment out too far, this post is in general, a nice gesture. Thank you. | |
You haven't been? That's really a shame. As kind the post may seem; it's not because I'm found of you, I don't know you. You seem well suited for the position. Honestly, I checked a few different times if you were a moderator. Thank you for correcting us so that we didn't regard you as a moderator of old.

Lol, I'm not sure if I would be a good choice, there are conflicting feelings towards me amongst the BYOND community, a lot of the negetive bits are due to misconceptions. I'd have to decline based on that fact though, if offered.
EDIT: A.T.H.K. has a decent enough background on BYOND to become a moderator himself. Tom could pick a few of the names listed in this topic to lift some of the work load that I've seen complaints about by various moderators. | |

Honestly, the current workload is substantially lower than it was just months ago. We barely get any games submitted for review and the forums are rather calm and easy to moderate at the moment. | |
If we get any more moderators, we're going to have to start having them do even more trivial tasks, maybe use a couple as hat-stands and end-tables.
