So basically this guy named ANBU Opz floods my server with packets and then advertises his GOA rip on my Turn Based RPG game. Why do you guys allow this behavior to be done? ANBU Opz uses this copy and pasted combination of several GOA rips to make money. This type of person is the real problem, not anime games. (Though Buster is a jackass.)
his IP is 74.91.123.202, might be a mask.

BYOND doesn't directly deal with issues like these, they consider them 'third party' issues, I guess. Best I can do for you is to tell you to ban him or find a way to stop the advertising, which isn't that hard.

Here is a step by step guide on how I believe you can eliminate, or at least drastically reduce this problem.
Step 1: Make sure HTML is not allowed in your chats. Step 2: Create a filter that prevents the sending of messages that contain combinations that lead to a usable join link for other games/downloads. Step 3 Ban him, his IP, and anything else associated with him you can think of. Bam. Victory is yours, hopefully. Some additional banning or modifications maybe be necessary. This is just one quick route I can think of off the top of my head, it's untested. Blocking links is a little tough to get right. |

Also, you could just place a filter to check for all links leading to BYOND, which is what I'd prefer. |

Didn't know about url_decode, but checking for BYOND links is basically what I meant. I'm not that good with words, though, and I was thinking they might be using some links that aren't tied to BYOND.
Doubt it, though. |
