Don't worry about Vrocaan. The great thing about C&C is that it's opinionated, it's not a discussion of truth. Therefore take what you need, learn if you can and ignore what don't need.

It's just that most of these topics turn into his version C&C. It's actually funny to read back in the forums.

Lols you shouldn't worry bout Vrocaan mehh he doesn't say anything that helps much. By the way i feel as if that fireball doesn't have a Fire-eeeyy look. It'd be best to look up some reference on how to make fire pixel art and stuff to see how you can make the Fireball look more like a fireball.

I'm pretty sure this is meant to be naruto-ish didn't really read anything, but if you think about it spitting fire out of your mouth isn't going to make a perfect ball, it's going to make a jet that will move fairly unpredictably. Also you don't have to worry about a light source when making fire(just thought I'd throw that in there) fire is a light source so maybe make it glow a little?
