Oh wow, I got tons of time then.

Overall, I personally think this was poorly executed. Restrictions as opposed to themes, and silly ones at that, and dates following the previous competition way too closely. I think everybody hated the restrictions, but it's not the reason why people are dropping out left and right. Expressing our hatred for the restrictions is just feeding troll-Oasis, so I don't think bitching about it will help any for this contest or for the next contest's "themes" People are dropping out left and right because they are running out of time; two weeks can be deceptively long and a number of us have college shit to worry about (college semesters just starting and for some, midterms already). |

Having a deadline is a pretty good motivation to get things done. Life often does get in the way of this silly little hobby, though.

Just figured everyone'd like to know they have an hour left. That is, if anyone at all is still submitting.

Here's my Game in Five Hours entry.
Did absolutely no testing, I'm not responsible if your computer bursts into flames. |
I'm afraid Zane and I are bowing out of the contest at the last second. Trying to juggle real life with focusing on making a game in a time limit really got the best of us. We got a lot done, I just couldn't get it presentable in time. I still plan to work on it and release it ASAP (and maybe slightly more polished than it would have been with the time limit).

Gi2W has concluded. We ended up with seven entries submitted.
Judging will be revealed once it is completed. Until then, hang tight and continue as usual. :) |
I'll post my entry here so everyone can keep it in the back of their heads for their top 3 picks.

All submitted entries can be downloaded here.

All submitted entries can be downloaded here. Don't forget, developers, to vote for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place for Developer's Choice score. You can't vote on your own entry. |
Developers Choice Information
Congrats to those who participated and were able to complete their project! Here is a list of those who are eligible to vote: - Albro1 - Bravo1 - Higoten - LordAndrew - Prf X - SuperAntx - Zekken7 As mentioned in the initial post: Those who successfully submitted an entry will have 2 days to cast their first place, second place, and third place choices. This is your chance to support your favorite entry. Obviously, one cannot vote for their own game, so don't try! Once the voting has ended, the game with the most first place votes would receive an addition 10 points to their overall score. The second place game would receive 7 points and third would receive 4 points. In the event of a tie occurring, the judges will get together and collectively decide which one of the tied entries deserves the place. How do I cast a vote? Because I do not want random people claiming to be someone, you'll be using the web pager to cast your vote. Simply click on my name and submit the following template in the input box: - First Place: Game Name by Author - Second Place: Game Name by Author - Third Place: Game Name by Author Please send me your votes using the key you submitted your entry with. Remember, do not vote for yourself. Once either 2 days have passed or I received all of the votes, I will be announcing the winners. The final results will shortly follow. Thank you and I hope you enjoyed this event hosted by Oasiscircle! |
