Would it be possible/feasible for us to hide games that we really don't want related to a game we have? SuperAntx's comparison was the best; chatters has so many anime games related with it, but it's more 'casual,' if you had to categorize it.

I would like to be able to manage the games that are shown on my game's related tab. I seriously disapprove of some of the games that are shown. I don't support some of those games so I don't want them to show on my game's related tab.

I agree with this feature.
I want to be able to have a list to determine what games are BLOCKED from the Related Games -- since some games can really depreciate other games. I'm not so much on the page of controlling what games are on the Related-Page, but just Blocking ones that are, that aren't desired. Sometimes, a game totally completely different from Game A will appear on Game A's related page. Ex; Anime Games can be found on certain Casual games that have NO similarities. Which, makes me wonder, BYOND's definition of the word "related". |

Our current relationship rating is based a lot on what people like and play. It is imperfect for several reasons, one of them being that we don't really have a like/dislike scale like Amazon does so negative relationships can be considered as well. We have an idea in mind for a future site improvement that would help categorize games; if it was attached to a like/dislike scale, I think it would improve recommendations dramatically. However, I suspect any system is going to still run into problems just from our hub being saturated by anime.
Blocking certainly is an interesting option. |

Ok, as long as this gets some thought into it sometime in the near future, I'm fine with it. Hopefully some change similar to what I requested is made so I can get rid of some of those "games".

Considering your game is an anime game as well, with no screen shots or other visuals except a HUB icon with game graphics that I doubt are actually from in-game, and a banner that's about as generic as any, a download link that doesn't work, and I don't think I've ever even seen it online... I find it rather odd that you're complaining about this.
I think this system would be far more abused than put to well use. Noobs with their zeta rips removing decent games just so their players won't leave for them. Unless this had some kind of negative impact, like removing your game from being listed on games you removed from it. But even then, I doubt it would work out very well. Adding a top level fix for this isn't at all what should be done. Hacking away at the cause of the problems until all the rips are gone seems like a much better solution. Though, since we all know that won't be done, possibly a system similar to the one how BYOND recommends games - and how they can be removed - can be added for hub entry owners. |
Most hubs are advertising several anime games, a good portion of them being rips. It just makes the hub look messy.
