I've spend some time completely rebuilding Elander from scratch-- and with that I've decided to change the name as well. Mystical Realms will be the new rpg from here on out!
The idea of this game will be a combat-based RPG where players can embark on quests, battle through instanced dungeons, fight other players, and join parties to fight large-scale bosses. I have many future plans in store for this project, and intend for it to be a long-term project.
As of now, the main purpose is to wipe the slate clean of the old Elander server and begin network testing on the new version of Mystical Realms. Before I proceed any further I would like to test out the basic multiplayer aspects of the game.
Players can create up to 5 unique characters associated with their BYOND key, while there are only two classes -- Warrior and Warlock -- there are absolutely plans to create more classes.
Interact with Bob to begin the first quest called 'The Bat Attack' where players are tasked with killing a few bats for experience. Starting this quest will grant the players their starting skillcards unique to their class.
Players can kill monsters to collect gold in order to purchase better items and potions from the shop keeper. He's located towards the north west of the map.
Traveling to the north east, players will enter a PvP zone! From here you can combat other players.
