Hello Readers! This past weekend I spent sometime at an international scouting camporee. While I was there I ran and judged a station and got outsmarted by some Canadians, but it was all in good fun. Now let's take a moment to see what good fun developments have been occurring around these parts!

Bug fixes have been high on the priority list in the most recent releases of BYOND. Lummox JR released 511.1353 last week. Users using Windows Defender should any false positives to Microsoft. SSL support is being looked into, and improvements to the splash screens are on their way. Expansions on the ability to work with the hotbar have been considered as well.

AERProductions is hosting an alpha test of Pondera's story mode. Players can log in though the Engage Link! Button located on the upper right corner of their website. After joining the world, players can explore hills, caves, forests, and deserts, looking for items and building their skills along the way.
Phat T began work on Night Ride. Night Ride is a zombie shooter, but forget the guns! Instead, the player is given a tank to blast the zombies back from where they came. Lasers fired from the tank take down zombies of varying body mass, appearance, and speeds.
Manacept 2.0 underwent public testing a few days ago. Manacept 2.0 is the revamped version of the two player trading card game of a similar name created by The Magic Man. While the entire game was redone from scratch, there are some distinct differences between the two. Mana cards now remain on the field, and when replaced, are discarded. Health points have replaced life tokens. Artwork has been updated. Attack cards have been removed, and card effects have been changed. Keep an eye out for periodic testing servers.
Crazah has the latest on Z Tactics: Fallen Kings, an isometric strategy game. After two years of non-development, the game is back underway and the user interface is the first issue to address. Quests, lighting, shops, and many other changes were made in the first week of development. A first peek of the classes and their descriptions were given.
The spell casting card game Aetherune Tournament seen some action this past week. Yutput strategically released a quick guide to the spell colors and their advantages, before announcing the first Aetherune Tournament tournament, with $10 awarded to the first place winner. Twelve players entered the double elimination brackets, and Flick (the first registered participant) came out on top, undefeated. Yutput took second place, and Newo took third. Congratulations to all participants!
Taint_thewizard has shared information about the latest update to Arcadia. New icons, redesigned interfaces, and new skills are all found in the aforementioned update. The introduction has been expanded. Host files are available in the hub description.
Guy is on the road less traveled in the latest news piece from Tales of Judgement R. Sidetracked Log #1 doesn't detail recent developments, but rather a handful of recent thoughts about where to go next. Equipment upgrades and quality considerations are being made, and special rewards for completing difficult or random challenges are considered as well.
Sigrogana Legend 2 has had a large revamp of its skill allocation system. Devourer Of Souls tells us how talent points are gained once every level. Using a talent point will enable the player to invest subpoints into subranks, and up to 10 talent points can be used on a talent. Not only does he tell us that, but he also documents all 38 talents and describes their subranks. New interfaces were added to accommodate these changes, and alerts got a revamp as well.
IronAnathemA started the week off by creating a new game called Escape From... The game features a panda held in captivity, and the black and white animal must use their (limited) stamina and wits to find a way out. There are currently three rooms to explore, and more to come (I hope!).
Bandock began work on a new game that involves using the mouse to click a ball into the other teams goal. The first draft for ClickerBall reflects that of a soccer field (and the ClickerBall reflects that of a soccer ball, as well).
Bravo1 is turning his attention to another game for the time being, A Girl and Her Ghost. The game challenges the player by having two characters needing to be controlled. While the girl is able to interact with physical objects, the ghost can go anywhere, and possess items.
Kage no Ordori had expanded its skill set with the addition of Sprit Eggs. AvidAnimeFan shares the details of how a Sprit Egg, when hatched, will imbue the player with the soul of an angel or demon, and grants the player a special ability. Stats have changed as well. Fixed character builds are selected during character creation, and equipment stats allow for flexible and unique stat allocation.
The Olympics have been won this past week, Azusa achieved 5.0 this week, and is now called Azusa: The Olympians War. The most sweeping change is the battle system, which combines the strategy of a turn based battle, with the rapid decision making and positioning aspect of a real-time battle. A ton of new weapons, armor, item, and other changes were made as well (leading Inutaishos to state that the update practically makes Azusa to be a whole new game) to Angels, deamons, guardians. Check out the update log for full details
Domdavden extends an invite for prospective players to join Reality: Utopia, a role-playing game that is built by the stories written by the players. Interactive objects and career paths add to the dynamics of Reality.
