What is this? Can't tell if hosting program or instant messanger or on BYOND or standalone or.. I'm just confused about what this is meant to be.
It's a hosting solution for BYOND, but it's also integrated with my website. My website has social features, and I plan to integrate them together.

You'll be able to sign into the client with the credentials on my website. You can chat, review messages, and manage servers.

I plan to expand more with it in the future, and that's why it's not being marketed as just a hosting utility.
Also, it is on BYOND. I have a standalone that I'm also working on that it will be replaced with after the launch of a big title.

The standalone is written in C# and has a client/server model that is written from scratch.

I've chosen to use BYOND for the moment as it's extremely easy to get a prototype going without having to worry about networking and such.

Test demo for you all to bugcheck it for me. Should be playable form start to finish.

There are known bugs with cutscenes not working properly visually but they should still be mechanically functional.

Let me know if you come across weird stuff anyway I guess.

SFX are partially in, but there's no music just yet, I'll have to pester Kats about that once I'm done fixing everything else.

Sounds like a fun project, best of luck. The interface looks very well done too. If only I could make those kind of graphics.

Thanks. :). I wish I could too, I purchased a theme for my website and just modified it. Used the same images for this, haha.
Still trying to flesh it all out.

Ran into a bug after I died once where one of the sprites for the plant creatures wasn't showing up. So it was invisible, but it was still functioning and I'd take damage. Also, weird thing post death is that my health indicator goes away.

Was that in any room or just one specific room? For some reason, client.images can get corrupted when adding images to it during high CPU usage (such as when loading maps).

I thought I solved it by putting the system to display them on spawn so that it'd wait till the map stuff was done but it seems I'll need to delay them further.

As for the HP not appearing, that should be an easy fix, I'll look into that, thank you!
Alright, so I love to bug test and find ways to break games. I got a few bug/visual effects to show you.

It seemed to only happen in this spot, the tilt stopped what seemed to be at the end of the tile.

I'm sure you already know about this visual effect.

I call this one, "Who is that handsome fellow"!

The pillars for the actual machine don't exist in some of these places. Same thing for the save spinning machines, they just end up not existing. EDIT: This clearly isn't the end... because there is an eye boss somewhere... BRB

I think this falls in line with the one before it. Some visuals just didn't show up but they were there.

EDIT: I got to the restricted zone....

The game is great Bravo, I know its a WIP but so far its really good. I would suggest maybe filling the world a bit more. This game type is really a speed run game. I played it twice, first time killing everything. Second time, I just ran through everything except bosses. I would suggest maybe a point system for those that want something to achieve.

I give this a BYONDcast Nay--

Comparing the old T-Rex, to the new one. Gonna do a tad more shading work with the new one, but I like it so much more than the crappy old one.

Also has a size-comparison to the player now as well.

I prefer your older T-Rex. If you wanted to reintegrate him, I could search through my game's source to find you a proc that will scale each pixel to a more suitable size to contrast your character.(Basically animating size without the blurry nonsense that comes with it)

Next time I get a chance to play through, I'll make sure I'm recording video. That way if I stumble into any bugs, I'll be able to have something to show you.

1: Yeah, it's a pixel thin spot between ramps which allows it to force it's angle rather than the ramps angle. I think I'll fix it by having it inherit the angle of ramps around it.

2: Yes, that's intentional.

3: HAHHA. Wow. This is what happens when you have two images with the same name in different folders. Fixed. =)

4+5: This is the issue I was referring to Kats about. For some reason, during high CPU, images fail to get added to client.images properly, and it ends up screwing up the entire list. I've got a fix in mind for it.

6: Damn, those gates are supposed to auto-close themselves when loaded if you have the proper game-state. I'll check on those.

As for your thoughts: It's just the demo, there's going to be lots and lots more to the game for sure. For example, I'm adding a scanning "weapon" to the game, similar to Metroid Prime, which gives your information about the enemies, which will be varied enough that some weapons just won't work on them, using the scan tool will help that. As a result, this adds a 100% items scanned completion task for the game, which adds a lot of game-time and potential challenge.

There's other stuff I have ideas for. There's hidden areas in the game, though they currently don't contain anything.

There's a lot planned, but I just wanted to get the essentials out of the way first.
Yeah, understandable I just wasn't sure your plans for the future. And I found some hidden spots only to be fooled that they weren't filled with wonderful booty and treasure. Haha!

I would've kept it in except make it transparent and call it a ghost of et. >:)
Day 10?

Show more vids of you getting ganked lol.

Poor little Guldo, forever not making the cut. Zarbon and Dodoria must be bullying him to relieve their seclusion, too. Nice lineup though.
