Anyway Strai does bring up some valid points... I also had a few topics deleted for being soo called "Troll bait" and such... Especially the topic about me becoming an Admin on IGN... It does seem that some of the mods are on a Pompous High Horse and Delete things they do not Agree with... But that is merely Human Nature... I've had comments deleted because I was trying to stop arguements, all my comments got deleted, and the other arguements just went on and on. To clarify, when I say a voting system, I don't mean thumbs up/down being used to moderate posts. Though such a system could be generally beneficial; people will vote up posts that they like, and vote down posts that they dislike, but this doesn't necessarily mean that the disliked posts should be hidden. A system to flag something as offensive/spam/off-topic/etc is what should lead to a post being hidden when it reaches a certain number of votes. Off-topic posts, and some spam, should just be moved/merged/split into their own topics, but such a feature no longer exists.

Honestly, unless the post is downright degrading or something along those lines, it shouldn't be deleted or compressed. While I agree that useless(I use the term loosely) topics or comments aren't neccessary, and sometimes an eyesore, it doesn't give anyone the right to delete or compress it simply because of a personal agenda or a grudge held against someone. Power is corrupting, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.
Note: If guilds and the lot still existed, I'd have paid for a BYOND membership specifically to make a guild named "Reform BYOND Nation". | |

I do believe that there needs to be guidelines , I made a simple and friendly remark to a friend of mine on here trying to be funny IN HIS TOPIC , and it was deleted. It seems like they are just throwing there power out-there trying to tell us that they have this power.

I agree it is corrupt, but not totally corrupt. It's more opinionated AKA biased.
The reason why my key here is Iobject and not my old key is because every Developer Help post I used to make since I joined was deleted for the mere reason of trolls coming on and making fun of me that my name suggested I liked naruto. This is kinda like the mods are acting like Middle School Teachers. If there's an issue it's both people's fault. That doesn't apply here or anywhere else. Although moderators tend to do this, I believe us, as a community, are at a fault. We tend to do the same as the moderators: We bias everything. OH NOEZ U LIKE ANIME? GTFO RIPPER OMFGGGGGGGGGGG HE HAZNT MAYD A GAME HES RIPPIN RANDOM GENERIC ASSHOLE COMMENT HERE Until we stop doing stuff like that, we are no better than the moderators. | |

Yeah but we aren't really better either.
If we just had less moderators (As Falacy most likely posted in which I may have missed) then they wouldn't do that. In language arts my teacher was saying (in a nutshell) that larger groups tend to be more assholish and smaller groups aren't as much. That's applying here, is it not? | |

Well they haven't been bashing his DBZ Game, because that was a request by FUNImation in which they had no choice, but they have been bashing logical posts he made as "spam"

They're not needed in the first place if we have systems to prevent people like that. Locking-Topics by votes ,etc. Sure everything has a way to be abused - But I'd rather get troll'd with negative votes than get my post deleted cause some asshole has no humor.
