In-game matters are basically outside of our remit [ or our concern ] and should probably be dealt with internally. If we tried to police every game on BYOND, we'd be swamped with subjective arguments constantly to the point of immobility.

there breaking the law , some rules need to stop this illegal act, or at least investigate is all i ask, the owner taking money for people, i guess i can just leave, but pow represent byond, so you have to do something, or ill lose faith in this website

An anime game does not represent BYOND. BYOND hosts the games and gives you the tools. They cannot enforce what you do with your games. This matter should be taken up with the IP holder of Pokemon.

I can see FUNimation all over.

I doubt it. Someone making a few bucks pales in comparison to Pokemon's revenue. They likely won't do anything unless they uncover a bunch of people doing it.

At best, their hub entry will be rejected or taken off the website.
Interfering in the internal business of a game is simply not something that we as volunteers or Tom/Lummox as staff do - ever, to my knowledge. No single game represents BYOND; the website is simply a place where you can talk about the programming language and the games people have made in it, and where games and libraries are listed publicly so people can find them more easily. If the party who holds Pokémon's intellectual property wants to come and instruct BYOND to take down all the Pokémon games, BYOND will just do it. Otherwise, BYOND will largely not care about them. |
I know when they see this thread there going to be mad and take it out on me for not breaking rules, but point of there faults, right now im not ban or in any trouble. but have a feeling im going to get something for this, but thanks byon for hearing and stepping up

Good day. I am posting on this thread as representation of the staff of the game in question, Pokémon Online World. I would like to humbly appeal the decision to remove the game's hub entry. Though not exactly the greatest concern for the staff of BYOND, it would be appreciated if the game's hub entry could be replaced. My request for replacement is on the grounds that:
While I do assure you that the game's operation does not merit its removal from the BYOND hub, and though I am certain it will not be necessary, you are free to visit the game and see for yourself that all is well. This concludes my modest appeal. I thank you for taking the time to read this. |

I wouldn't bother appealing anything, this kind of thing happened before the website changes and FUNamation's cease and desist orders, nothing happened.
Games are not under the control of BYOND staff, although the hub may be moderated by them (now) I have seen a few removals for Donation links on "anime" hub listings which is fair enough... I have seen nowhere on that hub listing about special items nor asking for money. Users freely donating money for no reason to you or anyone else is not under YOUR control either, And BYOND would have no record of this (unless payment was made through the hub which is the main concern and why hubs get removed as I said prior). In short - If I was you I wouldn't of bothered replying to the first post it makes no sense anyway. |
Well, lets be clear here, my claim is simple, paying money to play pokemon or for special thing is aganist the law, mainly because pokemon is a brand,
@A.T.H.K it dosent say anything on the hub , but inside the game it well know, and the forums. There is something very wrong with breaking the rules, and getting mad when youre expose for doing so i got a punishment today for making this claim, of a 1 hour mute 1.It irresponsible, to laugh off my claim or call me an attention seeker without investigating 2.i made this thread with my real byond key, not an alt, so that proves how serious i feel about this 3.there been many times in the game were certain people , refer to paying for the game to earn things such as a sercert class that only moderator can have 4. and last please refrain for diss missing my claim , when you have very little issue on the matter and let the byond staff handle it is all i ask let them investigate and see if there anything wrong. I think the game being removed for the hub is fair and it should stay off the hub, im not taking this matter any further from that, im happy with the byond staff decsion to take the game off the hub that good enough for me. Last thing to say When i saw something wrong i reported it, this isnt an in game matter, because if someone else would have reporoted it to gamefreak or etc thing would be much worse, and let me tell you i talk to someone willing to do that. last, i take full responsiblity of my words and action, and will not lie to the byond staff |
You need to re-read what has been said.
The BYOND Staff may investigate it, but it won't go any further than removal of the hub. They likely won't even do that without urging from popular people/powerful people(Inside & outside of BYOND). Simply because it isn't in their control and it isn't their problem. If you feel that something must be done, then report it to GameFreak. They likely won't do anything either, depending on how much money is being made. There are plenty of Pokemon fangames out there that GameFreak doesn't mess with. That said, this is a community. We, as a community, know a lot. ATHK is an older member who has seen this stuff before, as have I. Do not shove his words off like they are nothing, as they are likely to be right. Traintracks wrote: I think the game being removed for the hub is fair and it should stay off the hub, im not taking this matter any further from that, im happy with the byond staff decsion to take the game off the hub that good enough for me. Also, if you really feel there is a problem here, then think less selfishly. You need to decide on how to prevent this from happening, not just hide it from the public eye. Don't decide on what's best for you, decide on what's best for the public, and then try to get the public to see your side and agree. Nothing is going to be done just because it is "good enough for you". |
once again, fine let it be, i should let them do whatever they and ignore them clearly breaking the rules i get it and last i didnt say i was going to game freak , i saw people on the game say that before. another thing , it will be irresponsible, for us to say what game freak will do or not sense no of us know, and let me re note that i was never going to go to game freak, i heard other say that before
|
@albro I already took enough personal attack from the game and adminstration, i ll not continue to take further action
hub removal is nessary and is good enough for me. take note i never aks for the game to be taken off but investigated |
Champion, you aren't listening. After this, I'm done trying to make you see what I am saying.
You aren't being noble. Asking to hide the game "because it is good enough for you" isn't good. It's practically saying "Here, this is perfectly fine to do, just don't let anyone know.". The creator of the game is not learning any lessons. No one said you should let them do whatever. I told you to go to GameFreak. Guessing what a company will do based on precedence is not irresponsible. You do it to people all the time. Judge them based on what they have done in the past. If someone constantly talks about how he values his life, you aren't going to expect him to jump off of the next bridge he crosses. I hope that you take the time to re-read what has been said and really let it soak in. Understand what I and others are saying, or continue to bask in ignorance. It is your choice. |
