Mmm yeah re-reading what I said, I think I got a bit too made. Lmfao I figured it was a direct insult and what made me mad was I had said in my first post on this topic that development will be slow because I'm paying for art slowly. Tis the only reason I decided to work on the user interface first.

Tis the only reason I decided to work on the user interface first. Yeah, no, I get it. I've been in the same quicksand the last two months. I've been chugging away at UI and just not making satisfactory progress gameplay-wise because of obsessions over individual pixels and cascade formatting. It's really vexing, and I envy Yut for his ability to just jam out gameplay like he's on adderall. |

I'm developing the game for myself and how I would like a Bleach fan-game to be. Sooo I'll do me and you just do you.

Let him do his thing. Yut Put, your criticisms aren't bad, they just come off as aggressive.

I have to agree a bit with Fugs. There's nothing wrong with him experimenting on doing different things. It comes down to one of those things where you learn best by making your own mistakes. While he's not exactly making any mistakes, I will concede that it's a bit flashy, but flashy is how you learn to do new and more advanced things. What he learns from doing resizable windows or custom panes may not specifically help him make more of those things, but it will give him better insight on other systems and utilities that work on something similar, which is good for the long run.
In essence, I've said it before and I'll say it again: It doesn't matter what you're working on, so long as you're doing something and learning in the process. You'll never stop growing. |

i'm just offerinf advice based on experience. if you want to pull a ganite and play it off as subjective, go ahead The problem is that game design is 90% subjective. What you think is a good game isn't necessarily what whom you're talking to is a good game. A lot of your advice comes across as very prickly and sometimes downright offensive, despite what might be your best intentions. This is Build Your Own Net Dream, not Build Yut Put's Idea of a Good Game. |
