No.

All this thread will do is spark arguments and prod at existing feuds between certain members about why they think BYOND is "dying" and what kind of halfbaked change to the website or game listings would fix it.

Yet to see it.
The only reason BYOND is so toxic right now its because we are the only members here, there is no new People, usually when new people come in the toxic part of the community gets smaller and smaller.
No. BYOND is toxic because of a select few users that like to start trouble and that the powers that were liked to give them more mercy than they deserved after they blatantly stated (and still do) that they wanted nothing more than for BYOND to lose all its userbase - revenge for being treated poorly for trolling and being the most toxic and narcissistic users ever over and over again.
No. BYOND is toxic because it has a lot of Pokemon games and Toxic is one of the abilities in that game.

Checkmate, atheists.

Now these users are finally described correctly, people should clearly see I have nothing to do with them for I've been going the opposite direction, for a long time now.

Given the conversations we had in the past and just your past behavior, it's hard for me to let that go and check you off my "keep an eye on" list. Keep up a good behavior and just do your thing, make your game, and there obviously won't be any problems. Get involved with Gamermania, Galactic Soldier, Perfectgoku, and whoever else again and you'll be back at square one.

I can kinda agree with that, the behavior I notice with my Dragon-Ki Community is that they do like to troll alot, sometimes its fun trolling sometimes its awful trolling. Usually Permanent mute for few days fixes that and sometimes even corrects that behavior because its worst then permanent banning. The People that we perm ban are usually the extreme of the extremes, currenelty we have about 500 Keys banned since the game went live 11 months ago.

Do you realize how poor of an example that is? That's almost 50 people a month or more than 1 a day

Given the size of the BYOND community how is that a poor example?

EDIT: Out of the 500 keys some are probably Alt keys, of people that get banned and try to log in. so at least 50% of that should be 1 per person.
If he ain't one of ours than I'll be damn him.

im surprised it's not more than 50 a month

Its only because I saw how bad it is I've stopped perm banning and turn to other solutions like perm muting, which seems to work better. I'd say my community isnt that big If you take some of the other titles and ask the owners you will be surprise as how big the numbers are on the Perm mutes/Perm bans.
Permanent bans and permanent mutes essentially mean the same thing on forums...

Are they though? If I perm mute someone even if they make a new account and a new character that Player will still not be able to talk, If I perm ban someone even if they make 10 accounts and try to log in with each they won't be able to. I'm curiouse if its the same for the forums?
In response to Zasif
Forum bans are not the same as site bans.
Correct. The forums and the rest of the site are separate. You can't be banned from playing or making games - just using the forums.

That seems fair but what I was wondering is if it works like how it works in the games, where if you perm mute someone on the forum and he makes a new account will he be able to post again or he won't be able to?
