Touche! Hmm, arguments could be made for either one, but it traveling works since it's kind of like it's drawing energy in from the area its self and not just from within; which would explain how it can power the infinite amount of shots.

I really like how rapidly this thing is expanding. At this rate, the skies the limit. Literally. I could see that thing hovering, I'm not putting anything past it now.

Has anyone else experienced a rare occurrence where the screen-loc parameter of the mouse control will return something like:

[map control name]:[tile_x]:[pixel_x],[tile_y]:[pixel_y]

instead of just

[tile_x]:[pixel_x],[tile_y]:[pixel_y]?


I had to account for that because it was making my parser for the screen loc wonk out. Only happens rarely though.

Wondering if it's a bug or just something I didn't account for.

For reference, the help files say:

screen-loc: Pixel coordinates in screen_loc format ("[tile_x]:[pixel_x],[tile_y]:[pixel_y]")

It's accounted for in my mouse library because I've experienced it too.

Okay, so I'm not insane. I think I'm gonna make a bug report just because it doesn't match the help files and will mess with any parser that doesn't already account for it.

Well the only beam shown there is the laser that goes from blue to red coming from the turret.

Everything else is separate stuff.

I will try to get beams into a library though.

I have to clean everything up because when I initially wrote it I was just trying to get it to work, so a lot of it is lost on me at the moment, even with all the comments I made.

We got Necromancers! They revive anything that died near them into skeletons which give no rewards, and are very annoying.

There will be chests soon, but for the time being the chests you see are more like dungeon-pots. I just don't have a sprite, lol.

They contain keys, souls, bombs, potions, or nothing at all! You just smash them for goodies.

Webm to show the death/respawn effect because the gif is 20bm. Whoops.

I wanted to have a nifty effect while also showing the player their corpse, as if to say:

"Look, look at what you've done."

Bravo1, all I can say is I hope you don't allow multiplayer :v
All of these effects would just destroy the network.
Should health bars display the amount as a percentage or the actual value?

Also, any input on how often poison damage should tick? I feel like the numbers may be displaying too much. (Maybe I'll switch to a damage counter for DoTs like league)
