Basically a 2d battlefield.

New Trailer with music! Let me know how this one is. @Yut Put: Sorry man.. My game doesn't have that unique features.. Maybe one or two but I thought it would be good to not show them now and surprise players? @Edit Nero: He was the programmer, not anymore. |

The low framerate of the gameplay in these trailers is super off-putting. Maybe it's the recording software that you use.
The pixel art has a pretty severe problem. Individually, each tile, each sprite, and so forth look good by themselves and when still. But they don't work very well together, and the animations and levels all look incredibly stiff. The levels also look incredibly boring and repetitive, though we haven't really seen much of it so that judgement might be incorrect. I highly recommend taking a look at Ori and the Blind Forest for inspiration on how to design your forests' aesthetics and features. Ultimately, I do not think this game trailer is ready to be distributed to garner interest for the game. |
Put a trick Kozzy showed me to use and rewrote the way AI is handled. It made a huge improvement with the game's performance! I've also been mapping things out a bit lately and cleaning up existing systems so I won't have to revisit them later down the road. Mobs are also now classified into three types: Player, Monster, or Bandit. NPCs of the same class will not usually harm eachother and can be set as hostile and supportive to any assortment of the three types. Passives don't have a type_ID. If anybody wants to suggest some simple magic skills to add, I'm all ears. I need more non fire-based spells! (: |

The music really helps, it would also be nice if you added some of the in-game sounds along with it. I also noticed it says "Immerself yourself" I don't know if you meant to put "Immerse yourself".

I'm actually having a lot more trouble than I thought I would with parallax scrolling. |

Water bubble - Creates a 7x7 water bubble around you. While standing in the bubble hp regen is doubled for you and allies. lasts 1 minute.
Focus Shot - When used the next 5 bullets will deal damage twice. If one of these shots kills an enemy that enemy is revived as an ally for 2 minutes. Bandit Trained Focus Shot - When used the next time you fire your gun you will fire bullets in all directions. |

Again, this seems more like a video showing gameplay than an actual dedicated trailer

Most trailers actually show off gameplay. When a trailer doesnt show gameplay it's mostly because they have something to hide. i.e. Halo 5.

This is badass I had no idea parallax scrolling was even possible with this engine. How are you doing this? |
