Hello BYOND community! It appears that, yet again, we are tasked with taking on the incompetent excuse for higher-ups that the BYOND staff use to continually degrade the quality of its community.

The following post has been continually and maliciously deleted from the official BYOND "community" forums by the very admins that it is trying to put a stop to. If the BYOND staff feel that they need to further overextend their reach, in order to hold on to the power that they so eagerly abuse, and decide to delete the topic here, in these private forums, then I will reluctantly create an outside source to host this material against them.

If you agree with the points being made here, and want to show your support, you can reply to this post with a comment or simple +, or, if you wish to remain anonymous, send me a message over the pager!

Moderation Guidelines Post:
I request the feature of some publicly established (strict and logical) guidelines for the forum admins to follow. I explained such guidelines as the best method in another topic, but it was deleted.

This vague threat by one of your "employees" should be more than enough to get the point across of just how broken the moderation around here is: "As I can't lock the topic, if you guys get much more uncivil I'm going to move it somewhere I can lock it, and lock, or just plain delete it."

You could also just dismiss all of your moderators. There are far better systems for handling such management than placing a handful of biased community members above everyone else and letting them do as they please.

Open a support ticket. Feature Requests still isn't the place for this.
I will not pointlessly file a support ticket for a feature request just because it threatens your position. Aside from the fact that I feel they never even get read, I previously explained to Lige: I would take this to the top and all, but the top is just as corrupt. Rallying the community against the current mods (which won't take much effort, because they pretty much already are), is the only way to get anything done.

Lige wrote:
Spam posting this won't get you anywhere. It's been deleted for a reason
The reason it has been deleted is because you are incompetent, maliciously power crazed, and generally corrupt; and you don't want such benefits to come to an end. Re-posting it will hopefully accomplish bringing an end to such abuses.

Deathguard wrote:
You're deliberately and admittedly spamming. This is unacceptable.
I am not spamming this any more than any other feature request, bug report, or forum post in general should be considered spam (Sending the same message indiscriminately to large numbers of recipients on the Internet.)
If you are referring to me re-posting it as "spam", then this is only due to your malicious attacks in deleting it. The post is never appearing more than once, due to its previous versions being deleted, so there is no issue. Stop deleting it (since that is not an acceptable course of action to begin with), and I'll stop having to re-post it.

Lige wrote:
Trying to justify your actions through spam and personal attacks is a no-no.
Again, this is not spam. If you consider me stating blatant facts as "personal attacks", then perhaps you should fix the personal behavior that you seem to already knowingly consider offensive.

If you moderators truly wanted to better the community, which is what you are supposed to be doing with your positions, then you would stop deleting this topic. Ah, deleted again, I see you clearly don't care about any such integrity, only about maintaining the power that you so freely enjoy abusing.

I can keep re-posting this just as long as you moderators keep maliciously deleting it. If you have a problem with the claims being made here, or some proof against them, then feel free to post a response like any respectable community member would.
I agree that the message shouldn't have been deleted, as with the unwarranted abuse of the previous deletes. Although I don't think doing this will do much. Either way, here's a +.
Can't BYOND staff just come here and delete this again?
I don't see a reason for mods to delete posts like this. It is clearly suggesting a great(yeah great) Idea. if the byond mods delete this... it will only be proving what Falacy has stated above. The only reason this would get deleted is if the mods are corruptly, blatantly, and selfishly deleting suggestions because it will incur a loss of power for them.

Hopefully, seeing that everyone aside from the moderators acknowledges just how corrupt and incompetent they are will switch a little light on in their heads to realize it as well.

I assume so. However, as I mentioned, if they take their malicious attacks to such a level, then I will just setup an external source to display this information, most likely by hosting a simple BYOND "game".
I have an idea, though I'm not sure how long it would take, or if the end result would be worth the work...But why doesn't someone, say, take the idea of BYOND, and recreate it with more power to the community, rather than an unelected, almost anonymous, group of idiots who call themselves moderators.

Note: Even Brazilian moderators on a Naruto "Rip" are better than this stupidity.
Haha , with a user created Pager and another way to publish games I'm guessing in another game(hub app?) Players could connect to games using guests keys xD

No need for BYOND.com itself :o
My comments get deleted daily by random over-excited staff members.

Me: If you wish to study Analogy, stand naked in front of the mirror.

Troll: chu dis sucks.

Funny how my comment is thrown to the rubbish and his is kept. But, Falacy, you forgot something. According to Tom, 'Volunteers' do whatever they want. I already reported continuous deletion, and what I got was 'They are Volunteers.'

Yes, that is the excuse they tend to hide behind.
Well, I volunteer to replace all of them, and do a better job solo than they do collectively.
Or, I volunteer to fire all of them, since we would be better of with nothing than this current mess.
First fan. I agree.

Feeling a little rebellious, aren't we?

Although I agree with just about everything you suggest and push for, the mods aren't as "corrupt" as you're making them seem. Sure, they may delete a post here or there that isn't completely useless, but they always have some sort of ground for their actions. Perhaps you could start taking different approaches toward your goals of BYOND reformation? Not to sound accusatory, but you usually get your threads locked/deleted due to your rather aggressive/demanding disposition.

As for the subject at hand, having a public thread with rules for both the forum in general and mods is long overdue in my opinion.

More like annoyed that every post I ever make gets deleted because they don't appreciate my phrasing. And that completely legitimate topics get locked just because the mods are too lazy to bother reading them. And that I get banned on a regular basis for telling the people with the ban button that they're doing it wrong, when they are, in fact, doing it wrong, but the same attitude towards non-admin community members gets ignored. And now that admins seem to be going out of their way to take generally malicious actions against the community that they're supposed to be serving, AND ETC FOREVER.

I agree
Of course you do! I am always right about everything =P

Rarely, from what I've seen. Unless you consider personal bias as grounds for deletion.

I could, but I'm not going to. Perhaps I should just get somebody else to post everything for me in their own words

ITS OVER 9,000!!!
I have no personal vendetta or biased feelings with regards to any of the BYOND forum moderators. However, if such behavior is accepted, that shows a complete lack of respect for the entire community.

+1 to Falacy.
Oh I forgot to say +1.

Cause Mods shouldn't delete topics when they get owned by logic.
