That's a horrible thing to even refer to... I lost a friend in 9/11 and that's incredibly offensive, regardless of whether that is meant as a joke.

I'm aware it's a horribly offensive thing to say. It calls attention to the even more horribly offensive after-math of lives lost for no good reason in response to a tyrant's decision to take american lives for profit and oil.

Okay, while Avid's joke was a bit facetious(word of the day), I think it's a little backwards to call someone out as offensive about a joke. While it may have offended you, I think it's just mature to understand the context of the joke, step back and realize that it's not something that needs to be made a big deal about. If he'd made a jab specifically toward someone close to you who died, that's one thing, but a broad 9/11 joke is just not worth posting offense over.

Can I just say how refreshing it is for someone to be using the isometric feature to make an RPG? And he's not working on it anymore. Oh well. It was nice to see.

More Feed hoopla!
I spent a portion of the day cleaning up a couple small inconsistencies and bugs. Early this morning, version 2.5.4 was put on the hub which fixes an issue that prevented scores from submitting and disabled enraged enemy variants(which I'll show off more later!). I have a couple things going on behind-the-scenes with Feed that I don't want to share quite yet. I would like to point out that I have not forgotten about Skirmish. Feed is a close project to me that I've never had the satisfaction of bringing to a final release. I want to spend the next month or two by polishing and finishing the mechanics that I wasn't competent enough to implement two years ago. August was Feed's 4th anniversary and I think it's time that it was properly put to bed. I'm sorry Skirmites, but the Feeders were there first. | |
  I should be able to release a version of this tomorrow. I've got the day off, so I can clean it up and add a few more things. I guess I should also mention that the actual .dmi files look quite a bit better than the .gifs. | |
