Looking pretty good there, Mark, and thanks for the inspiration. I was leery of trying this earlier, but as I said Marks image inspired me so I figured hey! why not! and I'm pleasantly surprised by the results.
Also lol @ that zeta comment edit, but thank you Kozuma!

seems really pointless unless that's a survival game - or a spooky environment

I think you could work on the lightning effect (at least I assume that's lightning hahah) to make it more dramatic and, honestly, more obvious that it's lightning but that really looks cool either way.
I LIKE WHAT YOU GOT. GOOD JOB. |

Looks neat, though, I don't think he should be turning towards the beam when he gets hit.

You're right I'll change that.

Actually, it could be interesting if there were a way he could turn towards the beam and like... Fight it? Sort of? In Dragon Ball Z games and I think the series as well the fighter would often try to push attacks back before ultimately failing, and in the first match between Vegeta and Goku Vegeta was pushed back until he managed to 'roll over' off the beam.
At any rate, I do like the push back. I haven't seen that before, and I actually made a beam system once so I can appreciate the idea even more given the issues I ran into back then. |

Yeah thats the plan I already have a deflect system for ki blast. But keep in mind that the goku npc is not a enemy mob just a NPC I used to test the beam. But your suggestion is very feasible since I already have a deflect system in place.
