I'm having the same problem i can't play any games it's saying im not logged in but i am this is what it says Welcome BYOND! (4.0 Version 419.985)

I am also having the same exact problem. Ill try my best to describe it.
O.K. I log into my Byond pager and it is working just fine. Does the usaual stuff and says what games are online and what not. Then when i try to connect to a game it says : "Welcome BYOND! (4.0 Version 419.985) Logging in... BYOND pager is offline. Connecting as Guest. Connecting to byond://24.46.243.133:6005...Cannot connect to byond://24.46.243.133:6005 while not logged in. failed" I tried on several different keys of mine too, and they all log in normally and the bottom of the byond pager even says "logged in as Rikimaru Uchiha" and "logged in as Hatake Kakashii" and so on. That makes me believe it is something area specific, or maybe IP specific. Hope that helps. | |
I would like to add ive been messing around with my pager ever since my last post and i Found out reinstalling byond, or any of its previous versions doesnt help.
Now when i try to connect it just says: Welcome BYOND! I just re downloaded BYOND when I had this error, no, when I try to join/host games, the options and messages don't even appear.

Now it freaking says :

I thought i should report that over night the problem went away. So i guess its one of those one-day issues.

I just recently downloaded the newest version of Byond. I've been away for 2 or 3 years.
For whatever reason, when I open a new game, it wont begin the download like it use to. So I cant join any games. Am I doing something wrong, or missing a step? | |
I'm having this problem as well. I'm new here and I just downloaded BYOND, and when I went to play the game it said that,
"Firefox doesnot know how to open this address, because the protocol(byond) isn't assesed with any program." So I downloaded the previous version(3.5) and it still didn't work. I then tried to open the program itself and Firefox said that this program is not a valid Win32 application. I'm sure that my computer is a Windows XP. Do you know what I should do? | |

That didn't work..I associated everything..didn't work.. oh..and at my girlfriends place it DOES work without doing anything..beside installing of course.

I'm having a problem similar to this however it won't let me access my key to logg in, when I press join on a game it just brings up windows saying that the address is incorrect, please retype and try again, and since clicking a "join" button involves no typing, I am thinking something besides the address is the problem

What I did is: At the main BYOND thingy..Click "file->preferences->advanced" Almost at the end u'll see "user directory" change it to anywhere else. a window will appear asking u to move all other files over..click "no" and your done ;) | |
