G'day, all.

It seems quite a few of you are having issues with connecting to BYOND Central. I can't be for sure if this was a time related error or if you all are still having this issue. Never the less, so many cries for help can't be ignored.

Let's start with some information from you all (reply to this thread).

What we need:
  • BYOND Build Number (Help -> About)
  • Operating System (Including service packs. IE: Windows XP SP2)
  • Internet Connection Type (Dialup, DSL, Cable, etc)
  • Connected through a router?
  • Any firewalls (Windows has an inbuilt firewall, remember)
  • When the problem started to occur and if it still does
  • Internet Browser (Firefox, Internet Explorer, Netscape, etc)

Hopefully that should provide us enough information to help most or all of you out.

[Edit]

Judging by the volley of support requests this forum received, I say it was a time issue. However, there might still be some users with this issue, so why not start here.

guys you have to calm down and give them a chance to fix it..whinning and complaining about it will not help anything...so just stay calm and it will get fixed sooner or later...They normally come on around 1pm so it should be fixed about 2-3hr depends on how long it takes them this time to fix it.

That would make it about 5:00pm until it is fixed. Why don't they fix the problem completely instead of fixing it for one day.

They thought they had it fixed....and sorry I had a typo i was trying to fix it but my computer froze..and I meant to say that it would be fixed around 2 or 3 pm because it takes 30 to a half hour to fix..once they get on at 1 and find out what it happening...sorry for the typo...

One thing i noticed is it progresses from just saying Can't connect to byond central

to making you offline

then Not-allowing the page that has the BYOND 4.0....Release notes click here...

and now i can't even log in

i am guessing soon i won't be able to load byond i have cleared the whole byond folder so its not a file

Thank you Tiberath for your help and consideration for everyone not just me

*edit* Yes just as i thought now i can't even load up byond even if i reinstall it!!!
