Arg, I wish I had a Wii. I would play if I did. I'm a competition-level Kirby player with a casual-level Lucario and Pokemon Trainer.

Did you hear? They made a new Wii and everything. It's called the Wii U and it finally has good graphics. They're releasing it sometime this Christmas season. But, as you probably know, with every new console comes a new Super Smash Bros. They starting production right now, for 3DS and Wii U and they say there will be something where the Wii U and 3DS versions interact. It will be called Super Smash Bros Strife.

What characters do you wanna see in the new smash, and what characters do you want gone? I have one rule about this though, NO NON-NINTENDO CHARACTERS. I think Snake is stupid and should die and Nintendo is stupid for even putting him in Brawl. Sonic is okay I guess because of Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games, but NOONE ELSE. No Assasin's Creed, no Bleach, NO NARUTO.

Quite the wish list you have there. Lemme cut some of that down for you.

1) Shiek isn't going anywhere because Shiek and Zelda are the same character. Can't have one without the other. Snake has every right to be in a Smash Bros. game because he was originally a Nintendo character. Check out Metal Gear 1 and 2 for the NES.

2) Mewtwo isn't coming back and I doubt Lucario will either. The pattern so far for the secret Pokemon character was this: a bi-pedal Pokemon that starred in its own movie. Mewtwo was in "Mewtwo Strikes Back" while Lucario was in "Lucario and the Mystery of Mew". The ONLY new Pokemon that fits this criteria is Zoroark who was in "Zoroark - Master of Illusions". So there's a good chance that she will be in Smash Wii U.

3) If Sakurai is going to add another Mario character, it'll most likely be Waluigi. The reasoning is this, a lot of the enemies in the Mario series don't have enough uniqueness to them to be added as a playable character in a colorful fighting game. However, Waluigi, as well as Wario, are so radically different from any enemy in the Mario series that they are plausible characters in a Smash game.

4) There's really not much to go on with the Zelda series. I mean you have Link and Zelda... that's about it. There will probably another Link variation, like Young Link in Melee and Toon Link in Brawl.

5) Dixie Kong or Kiddy Kong, 'nuff said. None of the other side characters. As the main characters of DKC 3, I don't see how they couldn't be the more likely choices if Sakurai decided to put another DK character in the new Smash.

6) It's hard to say anything about adding any F-Zero characters, as Nintendo hasn't really breathed and life into it for the past 7 years and the series is going downhill. Also I hope you know the title of the new Smash Bros. game is still unannounced and therefore unknown. "Strife" was just an elaborate hoax that people on a certain website started.

7) Andross is already in Brawl as an assist.

8) The chance of a Golden Sun character in the next Smash is extremely small because of one reason: it's a third-party series. With the exception of Snake and Sonic, Smash Bros. only contains first-party characters, AKA characters created and owned by Nintendo and its subsidiaries.

9) There's really nothing special about the Punch-Out series. As a fan of Super Punch-Out!!! myself, I do admit the characters are bland at best and wouldn't in something like Smash Bros.

10) Starfy as a playable character? Definite no.

It seems like, judging how you made this post, that you're a casual player. You should think more about why most characters don't work, how some are better choices than others, and the patterns that Sakurai has laid out for us in the past Smash Bros. games.

I do agree that Waluigi is likely to be added, but I feel Bowser Jr. has a good chance of being added as well. He has a good appearance rate, and has been used in many games which would allow him to have a decent list of attacks. His basic fighting would likely be similar to Bowser, but a lot faster and weaker with a bit of variety attacks.

Kiddy Kong seems very unlikely, DKC 3 was kind of unpopular and Kiddy Kong was a pretty terrible character. Dixie Kong on the other hand makes a lot more sense. I could see DK64 characters being used in an assist trophy sense, but not that likely as a character.

If they add any more Starfox characters, the only one I'd expect to see would be Krystal.

You said it yourself, Snake was in it, and it was Snake from Metal Gear Solid series, and not the Metal Gear series. I think it's very possible they're going to reach out for some characters from third party series. Though to be honest, it seems unlikely they'll bother with Golden Sun characters.

I don't really see this, but I think there is a possibility of seeing Lil Mac, as we have seen R.O.B and some other strange characters. They're also limited with their choices.


Everything else I agree with. I do think they'll have to branch out a bit to third parties if they intend to have a large roaster again. I think it may be possible for them to get access to a few characters as they've been able to get both Sonic and Snake.
