I've gone through 3 tutorials for hosting with a router and when i get to the last step (typing http://192.198.0.0) it always says cannot find server can sum1 help?

Click here, then select the type/brand of your router.
If you don't know the type/brand of your router, look at the router itself. There should be a company logo + model number on there. Use it to pinpoint which router you have and click it on the list. The IP 192.198.0.0 is not an internal IP. I don't even know if it's valid! It is 192.168.xxx.xxx which is an internal IP. Even then, 192.168.0.0 is not a valid IP (I think). When in doubt, use http://192.168.1.1 or perhaps http://192.168.2.1, but those are usually it. |

Actiontec GT 704 Wg Right, so the page you were looking at would be this one. According to you, the last step didn't work? The last step would be to click "Save and Restart" near the left side of the screen. This would indicate something has gone wrong previously. Have you setup the correct port? There's a textbox for it that you have to fill out. |

AD, can we talk in e-mail for a bit? (Mine's [email protected])
Open some ports, host on the opened ports, and it SHOULD work. |

I think android data meant defaulty it might not be default.
and to what you suggested tib i doubt this person could do that if the person couldn't login to the router. |

Show me a screen shot of the router page. Then, I'll be able to help.
Often, routers use different terminology. Port Forwarding for me could be... Bypassing for you or some such rubbish. |
