I really want to make a local BYOND forum for all of my games, and it would be great just to make a flamesage.forums hub entry, and then have it have forums..
But theres only ONE problem that I have...

The forums don't have forum categories!
Could there be a way we could create our own forum categories (such as Announcements, BYOND Features, Bug Reports, etc.) like how you guys have the Developer Forums setup..

I really need this feature, and would be in heaven if you guys could impliment this soon!
That'd be a nice idea. More people would post on the forums(you don't have to register for the forum) and you'll have it better looking/more organized.

I like the idea sounds great and shouldn't be hard to code in im sure of that.
I support this idea for the same reasons Masterchief said. A DMCGI forum where you can use your BYOND key, with some upgraded features that so you don't have to go to another type of forum to get (I read the adding moderator topic too).

Any word from administrators if theese things were to be added? I doubt it would be all that hard.

I vote it be members only. ¬_¬

What about the people who cannot afford it?

That is the point of member only stuff, to encourage you to save up and buy it!

If you can't afford about 4 cents a day, then I would assume you might have a hard time affording a house, let alone internet. I mean 4 cents a day is less than what those Christian commercials ask for, "For less than a cup of coffee a day support a poor BYOND user for the better cause of a membership."
In response to Airjoe
I agree, since something like that could potentially be a bandwidth hog (not to mention using database usage), making more user-forum features member-only would help to offset that.

That is like asking, "Why no blog and full pager-usage-ability to those who can't afford a membership?".

Consider that the average is around 12-13 on BYOND.

Well, Nadrew said that it's a quite good idea, which probably means that he'll bring it on the topic with the other staff members. So they'll probably discuss it.

Same. This is definitely a good idea! Customisable colours and CSS would be great too.

I would say that a good way for doing this would be:

1 forum per key for both members and non-members. Members, however, get to add up to 4 categories on thier forum, which could be used for diffrent games or whatever is needed and use custom CSS.

This would cut down on the unneeded forums for games that never get touched, give members perks, and put almost everyone on the same level.

Great idea!

But how about up to 10 categories?
Because 4 categories seems a little too small.

This shouold be a great idea!

$15 is a third of the cost of a new $50 video/computer game. The Internet is not a new invention. I'm sure if they really want one, they can ask their parents, but I think they just like being lazy and complaining about it instead. This has been dicussed numerous times before.
go to http://www.runboard.com they are pretty good

That's not the point.
I could go to any free phpbb board, but I want to stay within BYOND.
