Siemens, ey.
Get you ip ( http://www.whatismyip.com ) and open the url as a webpage (ctrl+L, and enter your url). Then go to Advanced Configuration; Id - Admin pass - Admin Then go to NAT OR Virtual server. |

Go to Start -> Run, type in "cmd"
It will open up the command prompt. Type "ipconfig". This will bring up various information. You will need to look at the default gateway. Look at the default gateway, and type in http://[insert default gateway here]/, then it will bring up your router config page. Enter in your username and password. [OPTIONS] You will most likely come up with several tabs or menu options. If you want to play is safe, find one that says something like "Port Forwarding." Open up the port and ( for the sake of this article ) type in the port number, your internal IP, and when it asks Protocol, put in both ( It should have like, TCP, UDP, then Both. I'm not sure which BYOND uses, so if someone else would like to come back and correct me, please do so. ) Save and reset. Try again. -OR- If you do not want to play it safe, find "DMZ" or DeMilitaration Zone ( I know I spelled the first word wrong ) and enter in your local IP. For either of these methods to work, you'll need to ( IIRC, don't remember ) assign a special IP to your MAC address, which can be found with an "ipconfig/all" in console. DMZ pretty much forwards any incoming/outgoing traffic on your router to you, if I understand that part correctly. |
