Hello I am asking for some help. Ive been looking and am stumped. I want a book on Win32 API Programming. It would need to be a beginner type book as it would be my first book on windows programming.

Could any one point out a book that they have used and know is good. or have found a book that looks good.

Thanks in advance for any help.
Why a book, look on the internet. Google is your friend :)

Before you attempt any windows programming it is good to be very familiar with C atleast if you want to understand what you are doing. Once that is covered get Programming Windows Fifth addition by Charles Petzold. It is an excellent book that'll cover everything you need to know about doing windows development(using the Win32 API directly) and serves as an awsome reference material.

hehe thats funny. I actually tried that book. But every bookstore didn't have it cause it was made in 1998. So I can just order it from amazon.com?
