A petition is being passed around my school. Aparently, the students are trying to get a DDR machine into the school for use. They are anticiapting 50 cents per game. Do any of your schools have DDR machines also? Do you think the school can feasibly make back the money from buying a $5,500 dollar machine? Thanks for any insights.

They shouldn't. Our school is uber poor, our text books are talking about visiting the moon in Science, and when the first launch is expected to happen.
No, this will NOT happen I am 99.32423% sure.

Yep. Our school is so poor it's not even funny, yet they upgrade the damned teacher's lounge but not our stuff. Ungh.
Unless you are buying one of the newer (And not as fun to play) DDR games, then they will be more expensive (Around 5500, like you said.) Most of the older ones are around 1400, and have a lot more replay value and the songs are great! 7th mix and 3rd mix was voted the best arcade versions.

I haven't ran across any schools around here with DDR machines, hell, our arcade (Beyond Belief, ironically) doesn't even have one and won't buy one because "They take too much space". But that's ok, i'd rather play in my own home. All of the DDR arcade machines i've played were 1.00 a game, 3 songs.

Wow. That's insane... 0.o

...and on the other side of the monetary spectrum is my school. The first highschool in the nation to purchase and deploy a handheld computer to every student.

Sorry, I like to say that :D

Very...Very...Evil...
I really don't get why everyone likes it....like just this year a lot of people got into it. I think it's stupid >.> but that is just my opinion. I don't think that a school would allow that (think of the harm is someone trips while dancing! or hits someone!)

I never said schools with an arcade. And no, it isn't illegal for a school to own an arcade system, either outside or on school grounds.

Well...some students suggested paying for like half of the machine. The school can pay for the rest. They would keep the profits also.

It's not THAT easy to trip or hit someone, unless you happen to be mentally retarded and can't even walk right. :p
