You mean... right clicking it and hitting Properties... then changing the target perhaps? Wow, you are most certainly 1337.

Take a screenshot of your desktop, put all of your desktop items in a folder somewhere hidden, and make the desktop screenshot your desktop background.

At my old school, I would go to Start then Run...then I would type random stuff so I would get an error.
Then, I would take a screenshot of the error. Then, I would open mspaint and paste it in there, and make the error say something like "VIRUS DETECTED: DELETING ALL FILES!" Then you go to View ==> View Bitmap and it makes it fullscreen... ...scares non-pc savvy people all the time =D ~Kujila |

Those Pranks are all crap. They are highly non-destructive!
What you'll need: A book of matches A 3.5" floppy Disk Finger Nail Polish Remover Clear Finger Nail Polish ::Step one:: Take the matches out of the book of matches, and scratch the white/red tips off the tops. Collect this in some sort of small container. ::Step Two:: Open your 3.5" floppy Disk, take out the cuts. Use the Finger Nail Polish remover to soak the cotton ring inside the floppy disk. Let the cotton ring dry on a level surface. ::Step Three:: Put the guts including the cotton ring back inside the floppy disk. Be sure to put it in order! After everything is back in place, put the scratched off match heads inside the disk. Ontop of the guts is just fine. Then layer that with a quick layer of clear finger nail polish. ::Step Four:: Put the floppy disk back together, and seal up the sides with clear finger nail polish.. And your done! Now all you need to do.. Is give it to a friend of enemy and get them to somehow try and use the disk. Tell em its a sweet game or porn, who cares. The friction from the disk trying to be read from the drive will cause the now loaded floppy disk to burst into flames! Yay! |

I have friends who stole 512 RAM (1 stick apiece) from the MACs at the MAC-lab at school...
The G4's have an "easy to open case" that allows for easy entry, especially when no one is looking! I personally disagree with the ethics of such antics, but I cracked when I heard that they went ahead and snagged it for themselves during the last couple weeks at school... ~Kujila |

Open up the registery on a computer, find the desktop components, and screw around with all the values, much fun and chaos. For example, changing the icon / text size on the desktop to take up the whole screen ^_^.

When i was in middle school i lived in germany on an army post and teh schools network allowed for a type of anonymous instant messaging all it would say was "the computers ID says: the message" and it was fun to scare the crap out of people by saying stuff like Im watching you or Ive taken control of your system... They would freak out badly i even had this one person scared to tears... i feel bad for it now but it was funny then >.>

Heh, this is a pretty standard feature on windowsXP, I don't know about other versions. We did this to eachother all the time in VB class last year. The trick was not letting the teacher see what we sent. ^_^

My school wised up and:
1) Blocked the ports that AIM uses 2) Disabled Novell Message Sending 3) Suspending anyone who uses the "net send" command Ack! ~Kujila |
