okay...first, when i take his chair after he gets up, he sics a monster at me with its speed set to maximum, and then sics it on everyone else..and then he floods the world with monsters making ...lots of lag, to say the least. so I ban him...and of course, since it's his game, he has a check on Login() to see if he's banned and lets him in anyway...then we tell him to fix a bug, I even tell him how to fix it, and he puts it off with his laziness...someone says "FIX IT NOW!" and he gets muted...

If you pagerban someone they should stay banned no matter what Login() says.

there's a proc called isBanned(), and you can define what things happen if they're pagerbanned, including letting certain keys in.

Sounds to me like it's his game. If he wants to mess up his own game then let him, just don't play. :P

What you're referring to isn't a GM, but the game's author. And yeah, that behavior is pretty obnoxious.

Generally speaking, the game creator isn't a GM :)
GMs are people that the creator hired to moderate his work, and keep other people in line. The GMs are responsible to the creator, and if they screw up, the creator can punish them for it (temporary ban, removal of GMship, whatever). But the game creator created the game, and he is responsible to no one (sept maybe a host, who can stop hosting to punish the creator), and he can generally do whatever he darn well pleases. If you don't like the way the game creator treats you, you'd better find a different game. | |
