What would you do if byond was gone?

One thing that byond has done for me is that instead of playing video games to occupy my free time, I make them. Xenither will tell you the same thing. Because it's not quite so mesmerizing as playing counterstrike, byond has actually strengthened my work-related awareness. I am more conscious of what I need to regarding homework and such.

If it disappeared, I would probably make the effort to find any other site that has a similar set-up, if there are any. I would also have a spaz since the game we're making has been in the works for a few months now...if that were to disappear, I'd have to follow Nadrew's example...

I actually partially regret messing with BYOND, because I spent many hours wasting my time at the computer becuase of it. My step bro is the one who got BYOND, and I thought it was stupid, and I just poked fun at him for it, and one day I decided to download it, and page him, just to screw around, and i decided I might as well play a game when I'm at it...and thats when I got hooked, I haven't left since lol. I don't know what I'd do without it...I'd probaly be really bored.

the internet can be used for many more things than forums and porn.

Great place to study (be careful of false information)
If your interested in a skill you can certainly begin it on the internet. Or find a few institutions that would inspire your creativity.

Forums and BYOND really are a small thing for me online, more focused on future details in my life and writing a few paragraphs to my epic (hopefully)

I dont know what i would do, but i think dan and tom should make it a little more self suffectant. So if they could no longer have servers for BYOND it could live on.
