Perhaps you're thinking of 'oral' -- you can't orally break someone down over the internet (no porn jokes please) without some form of microphone and a voice-chat. Also, I wouldn't doubt that she's this way in person -- nice and amicable to her friends, and a mistress of sarcasm and emotional distress to her enemies (and unfortunate neutrals).
