i was readig maxim magazin and they made a good case to legallize marijuana.. they said stuff like the majority of jail cells would not be occupied and there would be no need in making new jails if it was legal. it syas that marijuana offenses are the most often convictions and it is taking up jail space...it said that some marijuana offenses have longer sentences then manslaughter....it also said that if it was legal the US would make something around 2 billion dollars (crazy) in exporting it and importing it...that would be nice right about now...and in amsterdam, where marijuana is legal, they reported lower percentage of amount of users then some country with marijuana being illegal...so i think if it was legal, the image would be brought down and not many people would do it...

Now imagine this. Those who run the jails and get tax payer's money for each prisoner there. Then know for HELL SURE that there is a pay off to Government officials and laymakers to keep it illegal so they get that payoff. There is more going on here than the general public is made aware of. A select few who are in power are getting hand off in connection with other people's lives being thrown away, when we should have colonies on the moon and mars by now. Not wasting away with wars and famine.

I think you missed the point. Just like the electric car is being held back because the oil industry won't accept it, the legalisation is being held back because the prison system won't accept it.
It's not a matter of right and wrong, it's a matter of greed. [edit] There is more than enough technology to create solar powered vehicles/battery powered vehicles that would only need to recharge themselves once every couple of hours, which could attain speeds well in excess of 90 KPH (55 MPH). It's the fact that the gas industry is so powerful, and it has ties to the automotive manufacturing industry, that things aren't implemented. | |
good point...but i am just saying reason for legalizing marijuana, i am not actually saying it will happen

or they would have had committed suicide earlier...suicidal people turn to drugs to "leave" the "now". if they didnt have these drugs, they might have suffered more and more and faster and faster, possibly leading them to kill themselves earlier...i know that post sounds kinda wrong

Wow, I didn't think this topic would be this big. I really do think though that marijuna should be legal, I mean have you ever heard of someone killing themselfs on it, or killing someone else, or even Oding. It's not like alcohol which can kill you if you drink too much, or Crack which can get you hooked on one try. Marijuna is actually been proven good for you in some cases and I think that the government has no right to tell me what I can and can not put in my body.

we dont' really know everything about marijuana... which is one reason why it's so bad...
Shrooms are realllly bad for you most people don't know how bad they are, mainly just because the average person can't measure hte potency of one shroom to anohter.... there's lots of things the average joe doesn't know about marijuana either... I did a report on it like freshman year... and I forget but someone did a really close test on people who smoked marijuana fluently and people who didn't, there was like 1000 in each group and the marijuana people smoked it every day atleast once... and ended up having a 50percent greater chance of dieing from natural diseases,etc or something like that... Or the ended up getting sicker more often basically. I can't really remember :P | |
Marijuna is worse than smoking because it's smoke that you breathe in is strait from the burning plant, as of cigarettes, the smoke goes through a bunch of filters before it goes to your lungs. But if cigarettes didnt have the filters, they would be more dangerous from all the added chemicals. But the thing on marijuana now is that people don't kill themselves doing it, it's that they kill or get themselves arrested for trying to get it. that goes for all ileagal drugs.

Actually, drugs do no help for most suicidal people. Manic Depression can't be battled with simple drugs to treat the problem, they barely even slow it down. My dad died almost a month after my 9th birthday because of manic depression, the drugs(yes he did use them correctly, my mom sat there and watched and then waited 30 minutes before leaving him alone) didn't seem to help at all since he had been threatening to commit suicide for 4 years before that. I really could care less if drugs were legalized or not, but I do know they arent as helpful as most people show them as, the only way I would support drugs though is through the use of mary jane for fuel and the other products it can create. Well thats my entire sap stroy, hope it made sense.

Marijuana isnt special, in my thoughts it just burns brain cells, and it doesnt do anything special, just harmful.
