Yes, BABBLE about anything you want. This doesn't mean bump your posts. Posting "..." isn't even babble. It's punctuaion.
Bumping your post is also frowned upon by just about everyone who uses the forums, and does just the opposite of what you expect. People are less likely to help people who bump their posts then if the post were to sit there for 3 days. |
You still shouldn't bump your posts, it really makes people mad, and makes you seem impatient...And after oh my...six minutes!

Its posted what I wanted isn't it. Foomer was on. He apparently got off. I ahd reason to believe he was on but I am wrong and that is why i posted it.

No, you didn't have a reason and your post just now didn't make much sense, I understood very little of what you were trying to say. Bumping your post after six minutes is the worst display if impatients I've ever seen.

Stop trying to act yoru way like Nadrew to become a guru. Fast 1 isnt gonna happen. Also I believe all this discussion about bumping is taking this subject off topic there for you stop bumping!

That wasn't my motivation for posting, and I'm afraid you're wrong on more than one point in there, particularly with regards to chronology. I was merely expressing my feeling, as another user of these forums, that bumping is rude and I--like many others--find it very annoying. Also I believe all this discussion about bumping is taking this subject off topic there for you stop bumping! Bumping is replying to your own post simply for the sake of making it appear higher in the thread list so people will see it. That's not at all the same thing as replying to a post. Nor is it the same as replying to your post to add additional information that has changed or that you forgot to add the first time. Bumping is when you make a gratuitous post just to make your thread appear first. However, you've just illustrated another good reason you shouldn't have bumped your post: You managed to draw attention away from the very thing you wanted people to notice. Really, there's no cause for hostility here. Nadrew was reasonably polite to you, and so was I. Lummox JR |

Look at who this is addressed to Lummox. Foomer. Foomer reads this not Lummox. Anything on a public forum is a public message. That means that anyone, and I mean anyone, is allowed to reply. If you want to get a hold of Foomer, page him. If he doesn't reply, that's his perogative. |

However, since you bumped your post, the discussion shifted to that. Foomer may still choose to respond to your original post, or he may not. In the meantime, there's the question of decorum to answer; and if you didn't want anyone but foomer to read your thread, then bumping it was all the more rude because it just keeps it continually in view of those who weren't meant to see it. All we're asking is that you be a little more polite in the way you post. This includes picking meaningful subject headers and not bumping your posts, and also not jumping down people's throats when they make their displeasure known. Lummox JR |
Depends on the game, what I'd be doing, how much of it, and whether or not I want to.
