I tripped over it today and it went smashing into the entertainment ceneter the back came off and the cd thing wouldn't open, but i pushed the cd thing in(it was half way out) and put the back back in. Then I had the plug hole bent, but theres nothin' a li' duck tape and scissors wont fix :) runs ok, but when I shake it I hear things rolling around. Guess that teaches me not to be lazy and leave it out. And the Cd that was in it wasn't cracked.

Heh. If I recall an old issue of Nintendo Power, somebody's brother had stolen his Game Boy, and went running down the stairs. The thief dropped it out of his hands, and it went crashing down two flights of stairs (staircase, turn, staircase), and landed at the bottom of the second case right onto pure cement basement floor. It survived, only with a few scratches. Yeah Ive read about those another one was when this guy's grandparents ran over his gameboy and only the sound didn't work. |

actually, it was a memory pack that he just got back from lending to his friend and his grandparents ran over the 'boy twice with a half ton truck. but thats okay because nintendo does even more brutal stuff liek throw themm of of 4 story buildings onto concrete, and try to break the screens with plastic mallets.
my story was a tragic twist of love and devotion. its strats like this. I was at my baseball game and some guys were talking about some gameboy game and he had it with him, I told him i had my gameboy in the Van so i ran and got it, we were playing it untill it was my tur to bat, then i put it down and i was on the side waiting for my turn andf the guy before me hurls the bat as hard as he can at our bench. WHAM!!! luckily my gameboy broke its fall, it went flying and onto the cement path were a roller blader tripped over it. it escaped with minimal damage except his game was screwed (AHAHAHAHAHAHA) |

If that wasn't enough, that Fall, the same guy (the owner of the Game Boy) was playing his Game Boy out on the porch, when his mother called him in for dinner. He set the Game Boy down on the flat rail edge, and ran in for dinner. He forgot about the Game Boy on the rail. It snowed that night, and a foot of snow covered the Game Boy, on the ground (his explanation was that his dog bopped it over). The following Spring, he was searching for his old bicycle under the deck, when he saw his old Game Boy!
He popped in Mario Bros, and started to play away, without a problem!
I think Nintendo takes the cake for durability :)
