Hosting through a cell phone(sounds like what your thinking of doing) is not going to be a good idea. While you may get good download/upload speeds with newer generation devices, theres an inherent latency issue with cellular data thats going to make it a really poor option for hosting.

Actually, that's more of an issue with satellite solutions than cellular. I've seen good mobile broadband work as well as DSL and cable of similar speeds. Latency and all.

To say nothing of connection stability or bandwidth caps. Yeep. Lummox JR |
Well im wondering because im not trying to host a game 24/7 or stuff like that. Its so i can get people on the game im makeing to test stuff out for me.
Im left with my phone as my only option because i have wi-fi and a lan line but its the schools internet. -college student- So i repeat "Can i host using the android and PDA net?" |
Because, im trying to find out how to host with it as well. Im not sure what im suppose to do, it connects to my laptop inorder for the laptop to get internet signal, but now what am i suppose to do to get it to work?

I would say that if you have a laptop, just host through that. Use the Dream Daemon that is in your BYOND program file and you should be good to go. |
