.From my experience when i used to look for games to play i look for a game with at least 15 to 18 players.
then what *you* look for in a game is 'numbers' or even 'people', not whether the game is any good or not. head count != good game, or even a fun game.
BYOND offers ONLINE multilayer games, and if their is not enough players online to play with then it will be boring.
that is the fault of the game (or the developer), not BYOND. you can't expect BYOND to go "hey! you can't make your own net dream unless it's a game that always has at least 15 players in it." what about games like Last Robot Standing? or Castle? or Teridal (formerly Seika)? or Ultimatum? these games thrive on small player counts because that's how they are designed. most of them either only support several players at once, or provide enough to do without the need of hordes of players.
It was just a simple comparison between walmart and BYOND's high player base games. For example:
A new Wal-Mart destroys jobs by putting local merchants out of business.
is equal to....
Byond's superpowers putting other games out of business.

How can you compete against something you don't stand a chance at? Their are games that have better icons and popularity than the others. These games dont worry about competing , they have no foe/opponent.This brings me back to my previous argument that this will lead to rips.
