You can play Second Life with out having to buy a PS3.

Im not psyched about it at all. Becuase from what I have seen it looks dull. We will have to wait and see when theres a couple thousand people running around the place instead of one guy.

Sorry, but Home and Second Life have different goals. Second Life is about building stuff, talking with furries, and being a furry. Home doesn't allow you to build stuff or be a furry, so pretty much all there is to do is talk with friends, meet up and decide what game to go into, and play mini-games with friends. See, Home is furry free, so it's clearly better than Second Life.

While that might be true on how most players act in Second Life, I highly doubt it was the developers idea to make Second Life a "yiffing" game. Second Life is a little more complicated then you care to make it. Although, myself, never got into it. I really give Sony credit for doing "Home" though. It gives Sony users something to actually use their Playstations for. Although, the whole concept of buying virtual furniture for your home, does put a bad taste in my mouth. With the arcade room, high score tables, and even the the ability to show friends media in your own home, it is a good concept. Of course, I still like Xbox Live better. |

This sounds suspiciously like a Sony advertisement.

I would hope that Sony would put more effort into their ads than that.

Sounds like SecondLife via Sony. It will probably have super-awesome lense-flare graphics and a system that doesn't lag as bad as SecondLife, though.
I doubt it will feature the same amount of customization SL offers, however. ~Kujila |

My main issue with SL was the fact that it was a blatant ploy to make money a penny at a time.
While that's not a bad thing, commercialization, making a game genuinely miserable to play without paying, while claiming to be "free", is a terrible tactic. The entire community also seems to be obsessed with poorly made junk, and uses it as a platform to fulfill cybersex fantasies with underage girls who are actually overweight 40 year old men, and lonely 20-somethings with an obsession with fursuits... Whoah, got a little ranty there... |
The official release is stated for July and you'll be able to stream any media off your PS3 onto your "Home" TV, that includes porn ;).
