I know there are still quite a few people around here who were/are fans of MLAAS back when it was up and running strong. For those who were around for then the white agency was introduced and excited for all the powers they had... Well I am making my way through Bioshock on hard and that is def a slow process. The plasmids you obtain through the game kind of remind me of MLAAS. White was never finished and I know a lot of people were excited for it. If you are one of those people and do have a Xbox 360 or PC capable of playing Bioshock, you will def enjoy the game. I just wanted to throw that thought out there for anyone who wasn't sure about Bioshock. Aside from that, the game is incredible and def a challenge on hard if your into that :) Anyone else feel the comparison? Or am I just weird...
You are just weird...

I was almost done with MLAAS when whites where introduced, and didn't want to become white. Seems like I had finished all the required stuff, but decided not to go through with it. I just started Bioshock for PC. I'll tell you, the PC version doesn't look nearly as good. Honestly Doom 3 looked better, but this is one game where looks are nothing but a bonus.

The DX10 renderpath or the DX9 one? The DX10 should look just as good as xbox (if not better on the more ecpensive cards).

Doom 3 isn't a bad looking game -- it's just finding a computer that will run it on the best settings is hard. :P

9, of course. But why would a game that is just about old in gaming standards look better? Only thing I can guess is that they didn't care about 9 at all, but that is the majority of PC gamers.

My computer runs it great!

Oh yeah, there is a PC demo for Bioshock on Steam, if anyone wants to see how it is/looks.
I played through the Bioshock demo and it was pretty bland. Sure, they really paid attention to detail and everything was high quality, but I didn't find the experience entertaining or anything.

With that said, I think I'm going to go play Deus Ex 1 again.

Not really. I'm pretty sure a really cheap graphics card like an X1600Pro ($52 to $100) and a AMD Athlon64 3500+ ($40 to $60) can play it on max settings, if they're not bottlenecked by the RAM.

I had the exact same thoughts when I played through the demo on the 360, but after taking the game itself home and playing it on a big screen TV with surround sound, I'll safely say it's probably one of the best games I've ever played.

The gameplay never got boring, the story and idea behind Rapture was amazing, and most importantly -- to me, at least -- the sound design was incredible.

The attention to detail is what makes Bioshock awesome to me, because it all helps in the process of immersion. Finding the audio journals and getting attached to characters that you've never actually interacted with (Diane McClintock, anyone?) and truly feeling for them when basically all they are is a ghost of a person in a videogame.

Now I want to replay it :[

I finished my second play through the other day. So many of the audio diaries that sounded like filler content make perfect sense and hint towards the key points of the plot.

I beat it last Sunday at 2:30AM and got what I thought was a bad ending. I was going to play through it again and this time save all the little sister in hopes that a new ending would be unlocked.

Too bad my friend begged me to let him burrow the game and now I need to wait for him to give it back. Ah, oh well, thats ok, I ordered Blue Dragon today, that should keep me busy for awhile.

is blue dragon even out? It was supposed to come out back in January, I thought.

Yeah its out. Damn Walmart is only selling it online, and with the nearest gamestop like 2 hours away I had to order it online. I ordered it over night express for this weekend since I have next monday off.
