Oh sorry some of my buds and me, decided to ride in our hot air balloons designed like Star war crusers, and someone must have caught us on tap -_-
|
If there are aliens, then there are these four options:
1) They are not really technologically advanced, so they cant come here anyways. (in which case this video is fake) 2) They are technologically advanced, and have been spying on us for years and has technology that makes it so they can avoid detection. (in which case this video is fake) 3)They are technologically advanced and wish to be seen or unable to disguise themselves. (in which case this video is fake, or we would have all seen them by now) So, I can logically conclude that this video is fake. |
Viral marketing video for
A) Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance (Expansion pack) B) Starcraft II C) Halo 3 That's my guess any ways... ~Kujila |

Or they did, in fact, catch real aliens on tape, since they either
1) recently became technologically advanced 2) already are technologically advanced, have been hiding from us, but failed to do so this time 3) crashed into Earth, in that specific country, cause' their engines failed. Of course, that means there will be more sightings in the near future, the government will get involved and we're going to get first contact. And if there isn't, it's a hoax. So we can assume that this is, until proven a hoax, real. So come down to Data's Alien Agency and pick up your very own invisibility cloak: guaranteed to make you invisible from these critters. This is just in. If you buy two invisibility cloaks (one for you, one for a friend), you will get a free scattering beam (to avoid being beamed aboard their ship). All for the healthy price of $149.99 (excluding shipping, if you're buying by phone) -- Data |

Deffinetly a fake. Look at the palm trees. Standard 3D cloning technique. It's probably, as others have suggested, a viral ad for some up and coming media release. My guess is for the 1/18/08 movie trailer that's all the hype right now, but really, with so much crap being hyped these days, who can really be sure?

I believe he's refering to a small group of morons who believe that DBZ powers are not only real (flying, shooting energy balls from the hands, powering up) but that they can do them and teach them to others. It was a big laugh a few years ago.

They would either have had to have found wormholes(and keep them open), a way to go faster than light, or have a very very long life span to reach get here and still be alive. Even if they were as close as Proxima Centauri it would still take them an insane amount of time to get here. Just imagine if they were in another galaxy. You would need to be a little more then technologically advanced to reach us. |

Not quite. If they were at Proxima Centauri, they could get here in a decade going at less than half the speed of light, which is something that even we have the knowledge (just not the funding) to do.
As for lifespans, who's to say that there are actually living creatures inside the ships? All of the serious interstellar trips that are being considered at present are unmanned, which makes perfect sense. And to take it a step farther, anyone who says that they are completely certain that it is impossible for us, at any point in the future, to get around the speed of light restrictions doesn't know enough about science. Heck, a lot of the top minds are already conjuring up wild ideas; they are on shaky footing now for sure, but just give it another century or two and check in again. |

The 1/18/08 trailer is about a monster in New York. The palm trees would belie that.

I remembered that. Ssj2-Mystic or something, he made DBZ- <s>Legends</s> Quest for Power. His hobbies included practicing Ki at the Ki University, and programming. He gave credits to Conaire and a few others on his game, then it went open source when he started DBZ <s>Legends 2</s> Quest for Power 2. Which didn't turn out to be a success. Yeah, I remember. =P

HA! I remember a bunch of those sites... I even posted for a while on one of their message boards (as the only skeptic, actually...)
It was hilarious watching these kids make all of these claims like "I formed a ki ball in my hands" and even "I just learned how to hover!", and then to watch all of the others make replies that went along with the B.S. with congratulations and B.S. claims of their own... There were even a couple of guys who spoke like they were becoming experts, knowing how to fire blasts and fly and enter the "astral plane" and everything else... The others all seemed to revere them, even though everyone must know that everyone else was full of crap, they still kept up the illusion... For each other's benefit? Perhaps each one suspected that he was the only one who really couldn't do it, and had to keep up the lie to make everyone else think he could? It was an amazing group dynamic... The best part was that some of them actually seemed to be intelligent and mature, yet still kept up this little make-believe world of ki balls and energy healing... Good times! |

I didnt say that we couldnt break the speed of light restrictions. But im pretty sure we wont anytime in the near future. We have accelerated particles to 99.99 percent the speed of light, but we cant seem to break it as of now. But with wormholes that wouldnt matter becuase we could potentially cut through a huge amount of space which would get us there way faster than light could. Thats if wormholes even exist. And even if they do, we would need to find out how to keep them open. |
