Say it's a pointless post if you like, but I'd like to see who's on each forum when I look, that way I(or other people) post at a time when no ones on and watch their post as nothing happens.
Just something I see all the time, and I rather like that feature.

If I remember correctly, this has been brought up before and it was agreed on by most that it was not wanted. However, you might be able to get support for just a simple number counter for the number of people on, if not a list of keys.
A simple number of people logged into the forum/members sections placed up near the "N people live!" label might not be so bad. |

Any way to show that there is indeed people on the forum you are at the same time would be fine by me.

Maybe there could be something at the bottom just saying "[X] people active in the last 10 minutes" or something.

I could(if I had my own PC currently) open up my browser and head on to the BYOND forums, make a post, and end up leaving my browser sitting there for a good few hours before I check back on it. I wouldn't want my position to be included in the active count if I were indeed inactive for several hours. Actually, I think it would be a good thing to see how many individual keys were active in a span of, say, 5-15 minutes. However, I don't say this in support of viewing how likely it is that someone will make a post reply. A complex code problem or how-to could receive little to no help over a long period of time, depending on the level of skill of the post's audience. Hiead |

Hiead I agree, not many active people shouldn't be a deterrant to posting, considering anyone can view your topic over the course of days. If this number was implemented, I think people would be suprised at how many people just read topics without posting. |
these little things are so simple to include on any forum and can be easily disabled for those who dont want these extra functions and even better, for the guy who doesnt want to shown, this can be done also. in the byond options for example
