I think you mean Seifer. :P And other than the name, what's the difference between a witch and a sorceress in a fantasy game anyway?
I don't know about whether or not FF8 is "just like any other RPG", but they've been feeling like "just like any other Final Fantasy game" instead lately. Maybe it's because I've never been a fan of mixing technology with magic. It feels too corny for me, even for a game.

That's the other thing. I liked not being able to do 5000 x 13 damage with a single attack. Zidane may have been able to do 9999 with Solution 9, but at least he didn't do 100,000 damage like in FF7 and 8 =/ if you use those it makes the final bosses way too easy :(

I do mean Seifer. Got mixed up, I'm feeling a bit spastic. I don't know if there is a difference. I just don't like when one of the main characters is caleld a "witch." It implies so much more to me. The sorceress seems so elegant and carefree to me. Not some old lady with a long nose and a nasty mole. |

Ugghhh... Final fantasy advent children nightmares... don't remind me that Cloud is like Goku from DBZ.

I liked FF7. It is interesting and long and stuff. I've played 22 hours and I'm only at the start of the first disc.
I think FF8 is alright but not as good as 7. The music isn't as good and the characters are too theatrical. I saw someone playing 9 and thought, hey, that looks pretty cool, but I never actually played it. I nearly finished 10 in a weekend. It was alright but too short and Tiduses run annoyed me. |

She wasn't a witch, she was a Sorceress. And anyone who played the game fully could tell that it wasn't just like any other RPG. It was very different with twists all over the place.I played the game through the end. I know the story. There aren't many twists to it. The game isn't that deep so stop trying to make it look like it was. Besides, If I remeber correctly there was another witch controlling the first one. I'll use the word witch all I want. And if you needed money, you could always highten your income by taking those tests. I received the top income last time I played. I didn't buy Final Fantasy 8 to start a career and take tests to earn a high paid income. I play Final Fantasy games to hack the hell out of monsters and gain urber exp and gil that drops from things that shouldn't have it. For number 1, I never said you could unlock them all. I just said you could go back and unlock them. A reasonable number of GFs you could go back and unlock. You can even get hidden GFs. I remember going to fight Odin, and he decided to help me. I checked my GF list and I was like "WTH? Where is he?" A reasoanble number. That still dosen't take away from the fact there are like 3 or 4 you can never go back and get. Later, I went to fight Sephiroth when the SeeD Garden crashed into the Ragnarok ship. Odin came out and Seifer killed him. But then, after about 2 more turns, Gilgamesh came out and BAM! He killed Seifer. You get Gilgamesh in that specific battle I suppose, so I know what you mean. As I recall monsters didn't drop gil. And the fact that the equipment was almost null was stupid as hell.. Its like, in a age when they can make flying air ships and stuff, a shop can't just sell a new kind of gun blade. Sorry if I didn't feel like hunting for all sorts of misc junk to get a new weapon. Final Fantasy 8 isn't a terrible game, but Id rather play Final Fantasy 1 on Nintendo then FF8 again. |

FF1 was awesome. That might explain why you'd want to play it again.
And, the monsters always dropped gil. What were you not seeing when you played the game? And there were a number of sorceress's in the game. One wasn't just controlling one. the story was excellent. You're probably just a FF7 fanboy. FF8 was very theatrical. |

'till this day, I do not know. I've played that game for countless hours. Maybe it's harnessing the power of the moon monsters. We've seen those guys. Maybe it's the Ragnarok, who knows.

I loved Final Fantasy 7, it kept with the same style and feeling, while breaking new ground in the series itself. It was one of the best role playing games on the PSX. Fanboy. You know, you don't have to use such language here. "Get bent", "Those guys are morons.", etc... I'm sure many people would prefer that you didn't. It's actually not that hard. |

That doesn't sound like fanboy speak to me. Fanboyism is more like "FF7 IS THE OOOONLY GAME I PLAY CLOUD IS SO AWESOME AND SEPHIROTH IS MY BISHONEN I WANT TO MARRY HIM"
(There are people who think they've married Sephiroth) He can just as easily accuse you of being an FF8 fanboy, too. Your opinions are worth no more or less than his. If your idea of debating a person's favorite game is calling someone a fanboy...good luck with that. |

My first final fantasy was the first one of course, I always did like final fantasy IX for the questionable kuja I always did like zidane's brother he was hot. FF always had it's ups and downs, VII pretty much as people said took it a step further by doing tricks with the programming. Never really had much fun with VIII though it was like the junction system was kinda weird, I don't like drawing magic ou tof monsters it's like waste and there were too many secrets in the game I couldn't get through, I just wanna know something on FFVII there was a bi star-like crater on the world map does anyone know what that is? (not the FFVII ultima monster fight, on FFVIII there was a big-hole close around the garden where selphie used to go to).

I love the characters in FF9, especially Zidane... I think that's his name at least. I liked all the other characters as well.. Vivi was cool and so was that one guy that got petrified after you get out of the forest. Bahamut looked very good in the cutscene in Alexandria. One of my favorite points in the game is that hunting contest where I used this butterfly sword thing... Heh. All this talking about it is making me want to play it even more. I bought it on ebay a few days ago and will hopefully be here either tomorrow or the next day.

Of course, if you were super-human like Cloud or Squall, you could whoop his ass and not worry about the blade. Or him stepping on you.
