Currently I have setup a community relative to my website Meteorhigh [dot net] and I would love it if I could expand it into BYOND.
The location to the forums is here and if you would, I would like some possible suggestions and simple feedback. A goal of the site since the first time I tried to create it, was to provide entertainment to an online community, while also providing a creative outlet for myself and my friends.
Eventually, I would love to host a few BYOND game tourneys on there, but I still have yet to hear back from the authors I contacted . I do not wish to host anything that isn't mine, without consent from the creators, on the site itself.
Anyway, tell me what you think of everything, and if you would, sign up for those forums!

Thank you, but right now these forums are hosted for free for me, it's relatively the same though.
I'll build my own forums some day, but right now I lack the knowledge of how to, and I'm more focused on site content Thanks, for the comment :) | |

Red Cap Last Robot Standing Echelon <3! Incursion Host a tournament system for any of those games and you'll make a lot of people happy, I think. LRS and Incursion would probably be the best candidates, since they have the best chances at becoming more balanced, updated, etc. Echelon would work well too though, since there really is no game balance and the game mechanics are all in place. | |

I was also thinking of possible Murder Mansion tourneys when SSGX updates it, but apparently he doesn't check his email and/or like me :p I had a few games in mind, Incursion was one of them. | |

Awesome, I just might wait until you update... but I know you pretty well and you're just like me... so that "not too distant future" might not be for a few more months, lol.
I see you on DS all the time, but I still lack a membership... for some reason an extra $15 is getting hard as hell to get in to these guys, so I can't page you or anything... lol Anyway, I don't think I need any more than BYOND offers to host these games, I'd list them on my site, so thanks! | |
$50 will get you a domain name and hosting for a year, so why not just get it? Comes with PHP and 1 MySQL database(This is speficily Godaddy.com's deal, you can probably find a better deal out there). Works great for http://www.bluepcsolutions.com and http://www.scoobsoft.com, both of which I own and maintain. There are a few others I have done with Godaddy.com, but they where for clients and I do not maintain them.

Oh I have my own domain with alot of space I don't need and it supports practically every other language I don't know as well as the ones I do.
I'm stuck with Geocities for a while, but I don't mind. It costs me $8 a month and I get more than I'd ever need... I don't wanna swap over anytime soon though, it'd be too much work and they are really fast at responding to my queries. | |
