I been on BYOND almost a year now..and I hate games whos owners multikey to seem to have players..Not to be cruel but
(i.e)
Dragonball Zero by Karrigo.
Why do u have to multikey for ur players..
That is the curent online list..The keys with a '*' behidnd it is on of his..
Gangsta Elmo, Uchiha_Reso, Twon, Xx-Batousai-xX*, Onimusha's Pride, Bluestar_1066*, AireX*, Kahak*, Canak*, DP Staff*, Super Saiyan X, Hustler3, Joooooo
I thinks games who have to stoop that low should just be closed..Thats just rediculious..

Just regard them with the contempt they deserve, and don't play their game. :p

So what if there multi-keying to seem to have more players.
Does it hurt you any? No. Besides, BYOND Staff can't do CRAP about people's games. They could make a game saying "DANTOM SUCKS", but the BYOND Staff couldn't limit them hosting it, or giving the address to other players in ANY way. |

There is a large amount of key abuse anyways, I know some idiots who have over 30 different keys.
I feel Byond should do a key purge from the byond, and then after that, allow only one key per person, unless they have a Byond Membership. I don't exactly know how they can do it, or if its even possible, but maybe limiting to what e-mail addresses they have would work. Like, I know some online games and sites, that only allow you to use your ISP e-mail address. And since everyone on Byond IS online, they should all have at least one e-mail from their ISP. Hell I have 5. |

The ISP I am currently using doesn't provide e-mail.
Besides, they already limit how many keys per e-mail adress (5 I think) |
Well Byond could do like a valadiation system, were they send 1 e-mail out to all keys, any keys that dont valadate their keys again, would be deleted. then do the new thing.

I don't think it matters too much to be honest...
A key is just a user name. You should be free to change it at will. |

Like, I know some online games and sites, that only allow you to use your ISP e-mail address. And since everyone on Byond IS online, they should all have at least one e-mail from their ISP. um- not all isps provide email address too. the world does not use AOHell, T-Online, or 1-and-1, or whatever you want. i use a little no-name DSL provider that does just that: provide DSL. my email comes from gmail, or from my website domains. don't forget, too, that a large portion of BYONDers still use dial-up or cable- and usually these services do not give out free email addresses either. |
Hey, he's allowed to express an opinion, and it's within the community guidelines.Note he says "I think", not "I demand" in reference to the closing of the said games. I would have to agree on this. if they are allowed to mutli key to make their game seem popular, then he's also allowed to say something about it. and I also agree that mutli keying to make a game look popular is just lame and desperate. O-matic |

I find dial up providers to be more willing to give out e-mail addresses. They know that you wont be using much bandwidth because of the low connection speed, so they can afford to give you extras like that. The slow connection speed also assures them that you (probably) wont be sending/recieving as many large attachments. My dial-up ISP gives me 10MB of space (unlimited bandwidth), five e-mail addresses and unlimited dial-up time/bandwidth. The ADSL connection I'm using right now came with a free modem (and a curiously expensive 'connection fee') and I think one weak e-mail address so they can contact us. I'll admit OzEmail is a joke, but they seem to have a pretty standard deal. |
