I just downloaded Firefox like less than 5 minutes ago and i took a quick look and i really dont see a difference between it and ie, so can someone tell what the diffrence is.

Built in pop-up blockers.
Extensions. (check the main FF page) Fairly secure (very, compared to IE) |
It's got a lot of cool features, displays pages properly and I've heard it's more secure. I like Firefox a lot better than IE, but for some reason if I leave an instance of Firefox open for a while it starts getting laggy. So I'll probably be switching to a new browser soon enough.

Some sites might not show up the same, but the majoirty of spyware and such is made to affect IE. Firefox is slightly different, and isn't affected by some things that go after IE.

Try Opera (if you don't mind the ads). It's refreshingly speedy. =) |

The name is different!! :O
And I find the tabbing in FireFox to my liking. I think they ever have different skins for it, if you look hard enough. I don't look at the boarders of my browser enough to care, though |

Almost everything is wrote for IE, so if you're the...uh...regular...dodgy site viewer...then Firefox is your baby. |
