Well, if you haven't noticed, Chatters is pretty much the hang-out of the oldbies. They go there and preech to us newbies, preech their wisdom and experience. Well, not really, but you can drop by and find at least 2-3 oldbies active. ;)

How about Dracon >.> Would he count =P. He left BYOND with some memory of him. He is also known by basically all of BYOND =P.

I think people grow out of byond, get board with it and move on to something else.
In 1987 I got started in DOS, got board with that. Then I went to ZZT and MegaZeux around 1990. I know ZZT/MegaZeux is no compair to DOS, but it still is programming in a way.. Around 1995 or so, I got board with that, Move to RPG Maker, didnt like how hard it was to use, consdiering some of the thing RPG Maker sported I could do in ZZT easier then RPG Maker. =P After RPG Maker I moved on to Byond and have been playing with sence, but, Iam starting to get board with this too. Board and tired of the community and the lack of games. When I first joined Byond it was to play Dragon Warrior Online, after I got board with that, I went to coding. Now... its either. | |
I've been bored with BYOND since about the time I ceased being able to host anything (by switching to Cable and introducing some "issues".) Its amazing how much less fun BYOND is when you can't show things you've created to other people - at least, before they're ready to be released to the public.

Im here for the long haul, but I do miss being yelled at by lexy. I learnd a lot when she ripped my head off.
I have noticed a trend in the games becoming less there (I probably could have worded that better) just before and after summer break. You never know, maybe years from now I might just have learned enough that you folks might listen to what I say. Until then its back to study and mucking my way through code induced headaches. I've seen Polatrite around. DerDragon has, for the most part, disappeared, but he logged in to Chatters for a couple minutes about a month ago.
