Recently i've noticed that Byond's community has started to evolve. Everyone wants to make a game of there own, without daring to work on another. With all of these fake dreams fluttering around, no game ever gets done. Why? Because there isn't enough power behind any of these games, there isn't enough motivation, purity, soul. If you don't love making games, then you shouldn't be making them. Making a game takes time and energy, not to mention Knowledge. Even then, when they are "Finished" they still aren't even half decent.
Sure, everyone can be their own God in their own game, but without sacrificing you never learn, so how could you make a game? I've been on hundreds of different "Teams, Squads, Clans" whatever you want to name them. During my stay in any of these "Teams", i've gotten angered at the fact that No one was willing to work on Anything and had plans for their own things every single day. But i'm telling you now, you cannot progress without sacrifice. If you know how to program, and make great icons, good for you. go make a game and make it the best. But don't tell people that have no clue what they are doing to go out and make their own "Dream".
To proceed, we must sacrifice. So let's start.
Just because we don't like working, (As if anyone did) doesn't mean you need to whine and complain and bitch to get your way. If you just go with it great things will come. If you are nice enough to offer a favor (Out of kindness, and niceness) to someone someday, they might come back and reward you grandly. Don't complain just because you happen to be lazy.

Thats probably why FanGames are so much more abundant around here. When you build a game based on something that already has an existing fanbase, you'll find a lot more people willing to work on something just because they like it so much. But if you're doing an original work, most of the people you'll find aren't going to have a whole lot of interest in what you're doing.

Yeah..that does make sense. But still, I have a great story lined out that could make a wonderful game. Even based in Byond completely. A whole series just waiting.

Get off these forums, cool down, and build your own net dream. And if it isn't fun to you anymore, leave. Dantom will only benifit with less bill for bandwidth.
I have, what, four games completed, polished, and published? I'm also working on a 5th one. Don't tell me people don't have any urge to work on their games. Also, if I had a job, I'd be going just as slow as these guys. It's called having a life. Kids like to be gods with slaves for their games? Ignore them and make your own game. | |
