I just wanna see your guys opinion about this new Mountain Dew drink. Would you consider it a part of the Mountain Dew hirachy? I certainly do.

Nay. My reason? I've never even heard of it! Down with sequels, up with originals! Mountain Dew is delicious as it is, leave it alone I say! Nay I say, nay!
|
It's not as good as I figured grape would be, the mountain dew flavor gives it a nasty after-taste, I'd rather buy grape soda.
|
Faygo! Everybody sing! Send your momma straight up to the stove, and tell that ..... to bring home a faygo. o_o
|
Yeah the after-taste does suck. But they might've changed it, I wouldn't know. I haven't druken soda for years..Im an Athelete..And I'm ALWAYS in shape.. :P
|
I must have completely missed this. Although I don't drink much soda these days, I always like to sample new flavors when they come out. Oh well! The Mountain Dew website had no mention of it (apparently it was a Halloween-based promotion that's now over) so I did a little Google search. I found the second result - http://poopreport.com/Dew/ - to be rather amusing (language warning). The product advertised at the bottom of the page is hilarious.
For those who've tried the drink, was it green? :) |
It's funny, we had a juggalo gathering down town in late october, Prancis Nox. Our crew of guys brought in mountain dew, most of it pitch black. The Faygo kiddies kind of didn't use the right tone in reference to our beverage of choice... The saddest part is, some of them kind of wanted to fight for us bringing it into "their show". Personally, I thought it was kind of stupid (afterwards), but you know how things are in the moment... Sounded like a good reason to fight to me.

I'm not much of a soda drinker, I only drink it like once a month when I have an urge for the taste, but I think yay because I always like grape, although it isn't anything compared to pepsi blue, I still liked it. The sodas they've taken from me:
Mountain dew Pitch Black Pepsi Blue Those have been some of my favorite sodas, darnit! Mountain dew livewire I thought was, meh, alright, but it made me sick every time. |

I like grape soda and I like Mountain Dew, but I steered clear based on the Pepsi Blue precedent alone--I'm not sure what you put in cola to make it blue, but apparently it involves gummi bear extract and antifreeze. (The gummi bear extract might not be that bad on its own, but every time I taste that sort of flavor it gives me flashback of actual gummi items, and then I get the heeblie jeeblies. Edible things just do not have that texture). |
To settle anyone's questions on all sorts of new beverages:
Mountain Dew Pitch Black: Blech. Don't drink this. Mountain Dew Baha Blast: Tastes a bit like mouthwash, but it's quite refreshing :-) Holiday Spice Pepsi: This is perhaps the worst idea mankind has ever endeavored to create. On the other hand, it taste better than Pitch Black. |
Pepsi blue tasted like carbonated cool-aid, disgusting imo. Livewire was awesome, although thats mainly because I'm a big fan of orange drinks.
|
I consider it vaguely unsettling in color and absolutely undrinkable. It is a worthy successor to the Mountain Dew name.
|
I guess it is just what color of anything you like the best. I like blue and purple candies/drinks best, always. ALways taste best to me. I kind of like orange drinks, but the mountain dew one didn't have enough carbon dioxide to make the syrup and water taste good (It always tastes flat to me).
