Perhaps I should have gone into abit more detail instead of just making a one word post.
The green is an eye sore and the gloss reminds me of some photoshop newbie job. The letters are just plain text that you type wich says nothing spectacular about the banner. The truth hurts :) ~Text |

NEWBIE, NOTICE THE WORD NEWBIE. So yes it is a newbie job, but not photoshop, its paint shop pro. Just thought i'd give it a go. And if the green hurts your eyes go get a pair of glasses. Its a color you will probably see a lot, and you'll get very sore eyes if you ever look at your lawn. |

Acctually, my lawn resembles the color of dirt. Infact I beleive that is what it is. The shade of green with the mix of black just doesn't mix well it gives it a disgruntled image. ~Text |

No wonder it isn't very good. PSP isn't that great of a program when you're using filters and making banners. Well, it isn't that good in the first place.

You have to have an eye for how to mix color properly, don't just throw whatever in and look at it and go: "Hey, that looks ok to Me." Look at the colors you're choosing, and spend time to make sure it's what you want.

You asked for opinions, if you don't like bad ones then why ask? And yes, it is horrible.

I like the overall layout, but on my monitor, it's kind of hard to read the text. The "D" of "BYOND" is almost nonexistent. To fix that you'd either have to make the green brighter, or use colored letters in "BYOND", or -- well, I guess those are the only options, since you can't make the black darker. :)
Anyway, it's a fine start. And keep in mind what I've learned through bitter experience: if a lot of people complain about one thing, you may have a problem, but if everyone complains about something different, you're probably doing fine. :) |
