Ok, so on my PC I am running good ol' 98. I can't get my Linksys NIC card to work! It' very frustrating I've tried everything! I can't get on the internet with it!
Well, since you gave no other helpful info, try going to http://list.driverguide.com/list/company597/ and download/install the driver for your card (I notice there are several etherfast models, so be sure you know which one).

google is your friend.

How might one download the driver when one can't get on the internet?

I've tried using the linksys driver, the windows driver, several built in drivers for other cards built into windows. I've checked the physical card to make sure it's installed corectly, and I've tried several different cables and ethernet jacks on my hub.

Probablary the same way one might post on a forum, except including the use of a floppy disk.

So use whatever internet connection you are using now and download latest drivers from Linksys. If you have alreay tried that, return the card to where you bought it from and either get your money back, or a replacement. NIC cards can go bad occassionally.
