Hey everyone,
I know, I know.. read the help about it, I did.. cant figure it out? I have a linksys router, cant seem to get my game to go on the games live list in general. Anyone know how to get by a linksys router? and does my 'games live' problem have anything to do with my router? (and yes, I checked under unpublished games..) It took me a week or so to figure out my last router, this time its taking me a while and figured I'd ask.

A router would stop people from being able to connect properly to the game, but I don't think it would affect the visibility of your game on the Games Live page.

So im basically dealing with 2 seperate problems..?

1) Why is my game not on games live when I host it?
2) When I get to it, how do I let people connect to it properly?

Well concerning number 1, you'll have to host it with the "Public" option set in the Dream Seeker host button.
You'll also need to set the world/hub variable in your game to somthing like
world/hub = "YourKey.YourGameName"

so that it will show up. Lastly you'll need a player in the game with a working pager set to Public. Games aren't shown if they don't have any players with publicly visible pagers in them.

I have public set, my pager is public, and the variable is in my game... Still doesnt seem to show up...

This may sound dumb, but are you checking in unpublished? I've seen a few posts with people thinking their game is automatically in the accepted channels.

yes, I have checked in unpublished. I had this problem before with an alt, hence why I stopped coding for a while..(Darkguardian is my discontinued alt). I dunno if it is a server problem, probably a problem with my pc, but I am just trying to figure out whats wrong and stuff..

Just re-capping:

*) I have Windows XP, and a Linksys Router (Got this one recently)
*) Continuing coding a final fantasy elite game from an old discontinued character (DarkGuardian).
*) I host a game, I set the level to public, and it has a piece of hub code (like suggested)
(world/hub = "The_Angel_Of_The_Lost.FinalFantasyElite")
*) My pager is public
*) I checked in Unpublished games
*) After running and hosting the game, Final Fantasy Elite isnt anywhere in unpublished, and no new connections are made or anything.

What could the problem be? I figured it was the router, I went to the router help thing which has been shown on forums and stuff, tried to figure it out but it still lead to the same problem?

I have the same problem, all you need to do is open a port to host for example 2000 or something like that, and host it under that port it will work. BUT, you need to open it throgh your Router console or by just going into your browser and typing http://192.168.1.1
