I found it to be overrated. Don't get me wrong, it was a good movie, but it wasn't the flawless work of art that everyone claimed it was. I know a lot of people who only think it's great because they understood it while thinking it was extremely hard to get.

A guy who basically has no memory of anything that has happened after a certiant point in his life. So he remembers everything before that point like normal, but everything after that he forgets almost as soon as he stops thinking about it.

I invite you to read Tom's post again, then your post, then his, then yours, until you slap yourself in the forehead, cartoon-style.

I never saw the movie, but an episode of Star Trek did that. Basicly the captain picked up some odd temperal bugs in his head. They stopped all storing of long term memory, but already stored ones were fine. After about 6 hours he forgot everything he had just learned.

hahaha the movie was very flawed...
except I didn't understand drew berrymores purpose... she was just supose to be the "good teacher" correct? or something to that affect... she didn't have much of a role. |

Ahh, good movie...
I heard that on the DVD, you could set it to play the scenes in "reverse" order (which, of course is the equivalent of watching them in the proper chronological order) just to make it easier to follow (which ruins the effect, but oh well) Of course, you could just do this by selecting the scenes backwards, but it's nice of them to give you an automated option... What I liked the best about that movie was that I seemed to be the only one of the people who watched it with me to understand it...lol |

Her quote on the board "cellar door" is what told Donnie Darko to go look in the cellar at Roberta Sparrow's house, which was what caused the series of events that left his girlfriend dead. If you want to understand the movie entirely... read the "Philosophy of Time Travel". |

I thought of mentioning Gattaca, then decided against it. However I just did.

I could have liked that movie, but no, my school had to go and throw it into their pile of "teacher is bored" movies. "I can't be bothered teaching today, I mean we are going to watch Gattaca and learn about society", "Ummm, Miss, what does society have to do with Maths". Lousy no good teachers...
