So unless you have a game that does not come out for MacOS 9 or 10, that's about the only reason not to switch to a better machine... oh wait, the only *real* remaining reason that Macs might still suck, is their prices- still too much for people who just want fancy "game/surfing the web" machines... heck a Commodore 64 can do that even now! (yes there are ethernet boards and browsers for the C64)

: Yes I think Comodore64 is much beter then Microsoft. Becuse you can BASIC programing just turn it on and it do that! Uther computer take long time to turn on and can not do that. And C64 can be conect to televisin directly and see picchers on TV. Uther computers you need to bi a card to conect it, and still is not good qality's. On Microsoft computers you need a mouse to do a lot uv stuf on C64 you dont need a mouse only typeing. And C64 dus not suport Trecherus Computeing, wich makes it good.

You are right...in my opinion also, back then Macs sucked. Since then they've been entirely redone on top of Unix, a whole new UI, and whole new hardware, so until you've spent some quality time with a recent Mac you are not helping your credibility any by claiming you know anything about them.

I'm not reading any of these G5 posts, for only one reason: I don't care, i won't buy a mac, i refuse.

XP doesn't suck entirely, yes it may be annoying at times..but if you are me then you know how to fix it up the way you'd like (Hehe, registry anyone?).

I know, the G5's are ulty, the "pwn" whatever...i don't want a war here..i was just saying that back then macs sucked, not now. Back then!

XP sucks, hooray, you've won. But i already knew it did, there isn't an argument here. Besides, a computer is a computer, no one needs a G5 to browse byond and code/play byond games. About the only people who need a G5 are hackers and huge businesses, XD!!!

I *still* use 98 on a gateway, and it doesnt really crash that often. Just for reference, compaq's have a boatload of uneeded software that was probably taking up all his resources.

Well, macs made a big mistake to me a long time ago, they sold computers to my school, they were the bottom of the line of yesterdays model, which gave them a bad image to me. I dont think they do this very much anymore, but they did it then and it just make thier computers seem bad to me. Compaqs also did this, along with ibm, gateway, and now dell. They really give a bad image for thier computers when they do this, they think its cheap advertizements to the kids, but its really bad for them.

Also, that was probably when windows 98 was new, computers didnt change that much from the jump, as a result, they ran slower with windows98(because they had more to run, but the same stats). This causes the change, plus...he had a compaq(/me remebers his compaq, then trys to forget it again.)

You've asked many times why people assume you're an adolescent/kid, Kami... and you've also wondered aloud about people's tendency to jump on nearly every thing you say when they "misunderstand" you.

Let me clear up two mysteries of the universe for you at once. I speak only for myself, but the reason I assume that you're a child is because you rely on huge sweeping blanket statements to make a point instead of just saying what you think. It's not enough to say that you, Karasu Kami, had a bad experience with Macs way back when... that's what happened, but the only way you can express it is "MACS suck! Always have sucked! Always will suck!"

It's possible for an adult's mind to work that way... not normal, but possible. It's more charitable of me to imagine you a child... 'cause you're not bad for a teenager, and pretty good for a 9-12 year old.... but if I try to think of you as an adult, I lose all vestiges of respect for you.

Now, "Macs sucked when I used them so I'm turned off of them for life." would be a fair statement... you could be confident that many people would back you up that Macs did suck back then, because, hey, they did... and you could be confident that even though people would still disagree with your conclusion, they would sympathize to some degree and understand your stance. We've all had experiences where one bad experience ruined something for us.

Instead, you say, "Macs always have sucked, and always will suck." You've made a demonstrably untrue statement, and phrased it in a belligerent and contentious way... and then you act surprised when people speak up in defense of Macs, and then act like everyone else is being ridiculous for bringing modern Macs into the discussion. You're fond of saying it's not your fault that people don't understand you... well, it kind of is. You just don't say what you mean, and very few of us are mindreaders.

Seriously though, that proves you've run out of arguments. You flame for several days, use up every argument available to you, and finally shelter behind your last resort: "I don't care!" Well, I know that you do care. How do I know that? If you didn't care, you wouldn't have bothered to say anything.

He's had his fun getting a bunch of attention, and we've all let him know the issues with his posts. I suggest just responding to stuff with content, and ignoring the rest.

Got 2 sweaters and 250 bucks. Nothing from my parents. This year I gave more than I recieved. It sucked, I was all, "Oh yeah, I'm going to give them a present" becuase I was expecting something in return.... Or something like that, I dunno, I guess I expected something in return. Silly me.
